Just happened to stumble across this. Promotion has been running since August 27th, luckily still has a couple of days to run.

  I didn't have the original in my Steam account, but I had bought it on Humble Bundle (not sure which bundle or when) and registered the serial and was able to get the discount on the Redux version of the game.

  Think I only got the game through twitch prime which is a shame, as the upgraded graphics look pretty darn nice.

    Was the Twitch Prime version a stand alone download was it?

      Through the launcher at least - no steam keys, unfortunately.
