Never played a Hyrule Warriors game. Absolutely interested in this one if it's going to expand on the back story of The Great Calamity and the events that led up to Link passing out for 100 years. Can't wait to see more. Hoping I like the game play style and not just potentially buying for more BoTW lore.
Is it really going to be canon? The first Hyrule Warriors is just a Zelda skinned Dynasty Warriors which is definitely not canon
They worked closed with the Zelda team on all things down to the dialogue even. The cut scenes from the trailer look like they have legit been ripped out of Breath of the Wild. Not just doing an imitation, it looks like Nintendo and the Zelda team did them for this game. And the cut scenes in there do seem to show the story of what happened 100 years before BoTW. So it looks, on the surface, that it is going to be canon and not just a BoTW skinned Hyrule Warriors game.
At the end of the trailer they said more info coming on 29th September. So I guess we might know more in the next few weeks about just how much canon there is here.
And that's the tipping point for me, if there is enough prequel canon then I am probably in… despite not ever really being interested in Warriors games.
Usually not a fan of the warriors series but being able to as the 4 heroes as a prequal to BotW, I'm keen
It ties in with Zelda BOTW so I think it’s cool that I’ll be able to play this title and then go back to BOTW and start again from a new perspective. Makes a lot of sense to me. Also looks like fun.
