Graphic Card Price Suggestion for My New PC

Hey guys i'm new to gaming and have this configuration so far

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Asrock B450M Pro4-F
Corsair ram 2 X 8GB 3200Mhz
Corsair 550W Power supply
1 TB Crucial SSD

Now for a graphics card there's a guy selling a relatively new EVGA RTX 2060 KO for 370 on eBay is that a good choice for me?
Is that a good price?
I'm not a pro gamer just casually want to play Modern Warfare and also upcoming Cyberpunk or a few other new AAA's on my Xiaomi 34 monitor and also do some casual video editing on Adobe premier.

edit : I should mention i want to get started with something half decent that still looks good to play and runs smoothly and maybe potentially upgrade to the 30 series when they are out.

Just not sure to go with this or the 1080 Ti or 2600 Super (Still in price range just not sure if worth it before the 30 launch )

if you can wait a few weeks for the RTX 30 series to come out as purchasable items you should see a fair blood bath in RTX 20 series and GTX 10 series second hand.

    • Is there some way to tell if a graphics card has been used for mining or damaged in some other way? Because it seems risky to me to buy a graphics card second hand.

Then save yourself the stress and buy a new card. Can you wait for the new series or do you need one right now.

      • if you're buying on a market place like eBay look at the seller's history and see if they have prior listings for large number of GPU's, that should be a good indicator of whether they were into the business of GPU mining.

But other than that the cards will probably make just a lot of noise if the bearings have worn out, that's usually a symptom that a card has been used for mining because they are run non-stop

    • Yep just wait it out.

Why not take out a loan and get the 3090. And a case big enough to fit it.

    • or wait for amd's side and see what they have comparative.

If you need to go used, the best deals at the moment would definitely be the 2080 Supers for $500-550. They'll do a much better job at ultrawide 1440p than the 2060

    • Can't find any 2080 supers for that range. How much do you reckon they will be once the new cards are out and available?

      • I've seen them pop up every now and then for that much, just keep an eye out. They should sink pretty close to that as the 3070 for $800 will be 2080ti performance

  • techyescity brian scored 2080 non-super for $500 … i think
