  • Any chance it can charge a MacBook?

    • +5

Yes - it should deliver enough/almost enough to slowly charge a 12" MacBook or Air under load. Should also deliver enough power for a 13/15/16" under general use (web browsing/word processing), but much more and it'll start draining from the battery faster than the charger can keep up. The charger will still be giving 27W though, so it'll extend the runtime.

        Suits my need. Thanks!

Resists the urge to buy more powerbanks when I already have over 100,000mAh worth

    • +2

same here but family keeps pinching them so they slowly disappear after a while, the 10k ones being especially popular

      • +6

Yeah, stock up on 10k ones to protect the 20k's ;)

    • +1

Ring Elon and see if you can get a battery-less Telsa so you can BYO

      • +1

Good idea, on the phone to him now

  • Redmi Powerbank is cheaper. Anyone who has the above or this one can share some feedbacks? Thinking of buying for emergency like last week power outage in my area. Link : https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/xiaomi-redmi-20000mah-18w-fast-…

    • It should be fine for most phones but won't be enough for laptops.

    • +1

Redmi has 18W PD not 27W.

  • Thanks.

  • This is good price. I have this and its quite decent at a lot of things but not great at anything.
    Worth having IMO.

  • The description on the Kogan website does not say PD (power delivery) anywhere. How to tell if this has PD or not?

  • Just got my first PB. Thanks OP.

I bought this one last year. It didn’t last long as expected. Compare to Xiaomi one, this 20k mA more like fake.

    • This is supposed to be a Xiaomi ZMI Aura QB822 if it is original and not a fake ( Kogan not known for many fakes as far as I know ).

Did you get this same model as here from Kogan and the number/code for checking fakes came up as not original?

  • Anyone know the brand of cells used?

    • Any other suggested Kogan purchases?

  • These will charge Galaxy S20+ phones at 27W?

  • +1

    must resist.

    • I'm trying to resist too, but failing, LOL

  • Just out of curiosity, what kind of battery they use in these ? And where can I buy those ?

  • Thanks!

I have a Xiaomi Power Bank 20000mAh 2C which something seem to burn from the inside out that didn't explode on a number of international flights over the last year so it is well due for an upgrade.

    • how that happened dude? i got mine over 2 years and still working fines! maybe i dont use it often.

      • No idea. Mine is close to 2 years but with heavy use and one port is failing. Need to be held at the right angle to work.

        • +1

you are right, the charging port is the weak point here. they need to move to usb-c

  • This or QB823?

    • QB823 is 65W PD

  • Does anybody know if this will charge a 2017 Macbook air, which does not have USB-C? Can I use a USB-C to magsafe adapter?

  • I am unable to place an order using my debit card. I have added Kogan first free trial to my order and thus I have to checkout using a credit card. I tried using CBA and Bank of Melbourne card but Kogan keeps declining saying "the payment was declined". I contacted the banks and they said everything is fine at their end and there aren't any payment locks applied to them. What can be done in this case?

    • use paypal?

      • +1

PayPal is not accepted for activating Kogan First free trial (free delivery benefits). The only option they have provided is to use a credit card. :(

  • Just received from Kogan. No travel pouch.no USB C to USB C cable. Anyone else the same?

    • Same here. Only USB-A to USB-C cable and Chinese manual included. Also 25g heavier than stated.

      • Emailed Kogan and a credit of $10 was offered.
