Hey Guys,
My first post here so apologize if I missed something or did it wrongly.
I’ve been looking for the best offer on iRobot Roomba i7+ And I think I found it . It is free delivery to Australia but I recommend to add the delivery insurance approx 29 AU$ on the top of the price
Usually the roomba i7+ With the self disposable cost around 1700 $ but I got it with 1399$ from geekbuying
Enjoy

That is the yet to be released iRobot Poomba…
How is a Dad joke like this getting negged on Fathers Day??
Dan has some ghost accounts on here.
I came here to comment the same thing
Geekbuying looks like a grey importer. I would steer clear of this for warranty purposes.
Cheapest I know of from a local retailer is Good Guys Commercial which has had it at around $1413.00 for a while now.
Did a quick check on OzBargain and yes Geekbuying is a Chinese grey importer similar to Gearbest and Banggood. Renders warranty non-existent.
I would not spend $29 for the shipping insurance when you can simply click and collect for free through Good Guys Commercial. No deal here to be perfectly honest.
I've bought 300/400/$500 phones all the time off Geekbuying and never had an issue with them.
That being said, for something that's a thousand dollars is a bit different :/
but have you had to claim warranty with them?
@keejoonc: Never. Have you?
I don't expect warranty claim with any Chinese reseller, never have. Never been burnt in five years of buying over 100 things online.
@adrianhughes1998: so why do you claim that you have never had an issue?
I have had experience claiming warranty from Chinese grey importers and it can be hit and miss.
@keejoonc: It's a risk you take when you buy it. It's not governed by Australian consumer law so what do you expect. I'm ok with that risk, others aren't.
@adrianhughes1998: so why would you respond to a comment saying warranty is an issue and say you have never had an issue? That is my point.
@keejoonc: In a roundabout way, FuRyZ below is saying what I'm trying to say.
Ultimately it comes down to the value of the item and at what price point are you willing to risk not having a warranty claim.
If Geekbuying was selling the i7+ for lets say… $999, I think it would be reasonable to risk a grey import for that $400 discount. But given you can get it locally for only $15 more, definitely not worth the risk in this specific situation.
That's steep for a grey import. Deebot version is better
Thanks a lot guys
I really didn’t know that
Yes. It's a major ozbargain flaw that it's even possible
My guess?
I think its because your previous comment made you appear & sound like an ass. An unnecessary ass if you want to be precise. But that's just one ozbargainer's pov.
Tho i do think its pretty expensive for what it is.Maybe but that's just how it is. The dyson v10+ animal $900 from the dyson store +$100 get the dock and still some left over change… people buying this are crqzy a dyson will out perform this any day, but hey im waiting for comments to say this is not the case lol
@Iwantthebestprice: You’re not paying for performance, you’re paying for convenience.
We have 3x cats that shed hair. A robot vacuum means we can run a clean each day while we’re at work which gets the majority of the pet hair up, or we could get home at 6pm and then spend 15 or 20 minutes each night vacuuming manually to accomplish the same thing, which is hardly a good use of time. We have ours linked into the home automation so it can trigger automatically when we’re out of the house so we don’t have to hear the cleaning. My guess is you don’t vacuum daily and wouldn’t enjoy it if you did.
Note we have a much cheaper robot vac model, not this one. We also own a Dyson so we can spot clean. We find both useful products and have different pros and cons. Running a robot vac daily when we aren’t at home gives us better results than a once or twice a week manual clean on average but.
@Smigit: Exactly this!
We do the same thing because we have dogs.
I tell everyone our roboroc is the best thing I’ve bought in a long time. So much time saved@Smigit: Literally the same reason that we have own an i7 as well, we have two long hair cats, and the iRobot does a great job of controlling the shedding enough that we dont need to vacuum ourselves every day.
Ultimately, this is OzBargain, where we post up good deals on products and services. Who cares that you see no use for this item, someone else does and would like to see the deal posted regardless.
Do you still wash your dishes by hand instead of using a dishwashing machine or walk to work instead of driving a car? It's not being lazy, it's working smarter not harder.
I vaccuum by hand monthly instead of weekly now that I have a bot vac.
Also I downvoted your comment because you used "your" instead of "you're" when you called me a lazy f*** for having a robot vac.
Do you grow your own wheat or buy bread from the shops. Hypocrite.
For this price, if the robot cannot go to upstairs itself, no deal.
Needs to chase down mosquitoes mice and stray cats too .. all while cleaning your ceiling fans
It its not cleaning my gutters of leaf litter. No deal.
You have to buy a separate robot for that:
https://store.irobot.com/default/looj-gutter-cleaning/irobot…
Needs to clean my browser history too
If anyone buy this at this price then he is surely not an ozbargainer. :p
this or xiaomi?
Do you like having money?
7th gen i7 … no deal
Intel i7 ?
waiting for ryzen version of this
I own this and highly recommend. That dock is worth every penny.
Love the dock idea but if cost is priority then the Xiaomi Mi Robot SDJQR02RR gets the same score from choice at under $350.
OP is a member for just 8 hours and posting a deal about an expensive product. looks like advertising to me…
Nope, not an add, I tried to support when I thought I found a good deal no more.
I always use OZbargin as a guest , and it helped me a lot to get great deals.
But when I found a good offer myself, I thought to giveback and share it with OZBargain community. Thats why I created the account yesterday to post this one. Some of the comments on my first post was really helpful as I didn’t know that the warranty is not going work here in Australia. (I cancelled my order by the way as the warranty is super important)
On the other hands, some other comments were really frustrating and Judgmental for no reason. Calling me lazy or don’t know where to spend my money, not sure what is the benefit of those comments and how they help the OZbargainers !!Thanks
I suggest you to read comments too instead of just deal hunting. Grey/overseas stocks will not have the same local warranty and even if they do you'll probably need to post them to their country of origin, paying more shipping cost.
I didn't call you lazy or anything. It's just suspicious that you've never registered at OZB before to post a deal or participate in a discussion for any product.
When you finally did post, it was about a product on a foreign website and it wasn't honestly the best deal. Makes me to believe you didn't do your homework well or you are affiliated with that website.
No geek buying…..!!!
Saw the image and thought this was some fancy toilet seat
WARNING: Despite its appearance, iRobot Roomba is NOT TO BE USED AS A TOILET.
Using it as a toilet is not recommended.
You can't tell me what to do.
Is the S9+ coming to Australia at all?
To answer my own question the s9+ is available in Australia at a $2899 price in limited quantities.
Ridiculous price. What does this offer over the popular xiaomi robot vacuums to justify the price difference?
It empties the internal dustbin into the larger one in the dock, so you have to empty things less often. Whether that’s worth 2.5x the price I paid for a Roborock s50 is debatable.
Is that only me that thought it is a toilet?
