From the looks of it the Standard Xooms (non Telstra) are 3G 2100mhz only meaning they will only work on Optus/Vodafone infrastructure. Also 2100mhz tends to only be used in city areas so you won't get 3G coverage everywhere. If you can get the Telstra version with the 850mhz 3G antenna then you will most likely get better speeds and 3G coverage.
The post says 3g, but I can't see any reference to it in the description of the product. For that and the newness of this site, I would wait. As said below by Horizon, chances are this model is going to continue to drop in price; Esp as the Xoom2 is official.
Given the following from androidtoday.org
Motorola is certainly crossing its fingers with the Xoom 2, hoping for better results than the original Xoom has delivered. Launched in February, the Xoom got off to a slow start, with some analysts estimating that the company likely sold around 100,000 tablets during the initial couple of months.
The situation certainly hasn’t improved over time.
You may want to consider timing on the purchase of this unit. It could go down in price still, which would make it a better bargain for those able to wait.
Then again maybe this is it's lowest… Your call
I'd put money on it going down!
Another one we can expect to see on OzBargain very soon is RIM's Blackberry Playbook.
RIM looks like it's just about to go into liquidation.
Arhhh! Standby for bargains, m'hearties!
i'll just wait for telstra fire sale again
the 1 year warranty is covered by the seller..not manufacturer..that is what i've got from them..still a good price tho
what is the PRICE ???
