Not "nice"… rather ESSENTIAL, ie,
to distinguish blatant ADVERTISING
from a genuine DEAL(I'm Negging this)
I believe it is normally $39 delivered and is now reduced to $29. The OP's lack of OzB etiquette does not make it a bad deal. However, the delivery cost of $16.90 does.
EDIT: I accidentally revoked my neg and can't re-neg… :(
I'm tired of PROMOTIONAL pseudo-deals.
Hype, without price… Leave if to Apple
I say:
. Keep OB a community of cooperative
. buyers, not a place to post
. "cost-free Classified ads"
Price+postage or GTFO :)
NO STORAGE… rather LIMITATIONS on the storage you can plug-in, eg:
"USB flash drives and external HDD not included.
Only compatible with powered HDD up to 1TB and
plug and play USB flash drives up to 32GB.
The Kogan PVR supports standard USB mass storage devices.
Most Western Digital HDDs are not supported."
(reformated by poster; words & word-order unchanged)
Only compatible with powered HDD up to 1TB
…
Most Western Digital HDDs are not supported. And from below…
Eg, up to [at least] 3 units can ship together (for the same $16.90 S+H)
That all kills it. The first bit makes it a crap PVR and the second means they should be able to ship a single unit cheaper. :/
Australia's cheapest HD PVR**
with not 1, but 2 free asterisks!
Nearby friends &/or Neighbors can buy together &
split the Shipping fee:Eg, up to [at least] 3 units can ship together
(for the same $16.90 S+H)I have no idea if this device is worth $29, however. :-/
I got one for $9 as part of the Paypal fiasco. It's not brilliant, but if you have an old portable HDD lying around it's great for picking up the odd HD recording and mine hasn't missed a beat yet. I'm using it with a 40 gig HDD.
More OzAdvertizing!
Delivery a tad steep, but otherwise would've been tempted.

Got a nice one from COTD last week sale, $29 shipped with the old free shipping code still worked. Read avi & mkv(but no rmvb), got a power button to actually shut down, good reception.
What code is that?
misleading "Record up to 500 Hours". does this PVR allow recording without storage ? :p
This looks exactly like the DGTEC from that COTD deal not too far back. Only difference is that was cheaper.
what is this sheeet
price and postage would be nice.
