Just wondering if anyone has actually done eye exercises on a regular basis and found that it helped to correct their minor vision deficiency.. I'm talking like -0.75 and around that. Or is it all a myth?
Do Eye Exercises Help to Improve Vision?
Comments
Isn't the problem with eyes the fact that they get squashed out of shape?
I didn't think it was a weakness per se, it's a geometry issue.
Myth. Eye exercises train the eye muscles to work together and helps kids focus their eyes when reading. That's about it.
Some people would have you believe eye movements alone can cure PTSD, but they would be wrong.
look up ortho lenses. On one of the pages, I read about a chinese tradition of putting bags of sand on their eyes overnight. The next day their myopia was cured temporarily for a few hours. In my own experience, I reversed .5 but it was at least two months of not wearing glasses.
If it's presbyopia then one of the big phama mobs are working on an alpha lipoic acid ester eye drop that looks very promising.
Not sure if exercises can improve vision but wearing glasses slowly makes vision worse in many cases leading to stronger glasses being required.
Presumably this is because of muscle atrophy as muscles are no longer used to focus vision so there may be something to it but I'm not sure how you would exercise to improve this. I'm guessing it would require specialised lenses if it were possible.
Take all this with a grain of salt.
That has always been my belief with glasses, whether factual or not.
This is not correct Diji.
Is this in relation to weakening near vision or long distance vision?
No. Glasses are required because of lens hardening, limiting focal range.
Exercising if not going to reverse this, but may as an added bonus result in headaches.I look forward to the day I can look into a laser and be fixed.
If it works, people wouldn’t invent laser treatment. They would just ‘lift’ their eyes.
