20% off Movies and TV Shows (4K, Blu-Ray and DVD) at JB Hi-Fi

320

Hi guys, it’s back again. You know the drill.

20% off. It combines with the current promos (except the binge boxsets with 30% off), including B2G1 free (so 3 x $15.98 movies come down to $8.53 each, almost half price). In other words, 3 movies of the same price will get you about 46.67% off.

Now I can finally get A Night At The Roxbury on Blu-ray!!! (which I can’t believe is exclusive, worldwide, to JB Hi-Fi).

Enjoy!

But the cabana house doesn't have a bluray player!

  • I have 2 JB's within driving range and neither have stock of what I want. Not sure if it's the covids but their stock levels are low recently.

Check out Amazon it sometimes matches JBHIFI prices.

      • Looks like they’re beating them

        • Hi Boogerman, can you point me to one example of Amazon price beating JB?
For most items on my wishlist, Amazon has only price matched the 20% off and doesn't take into account B2G1F. This was also the case for the last deal about a month ago.

For example, all Pixar blu ray movies are listed at $10.38 on Amazon. Meanwhile, B2G1 free from JB will bring it down to $6.92 each.

I look forward to hearing from you.

@motui302: Sorry, I was looking at UHD bluray

            • @Boogerman: Ah, I see. I'm nowhere new a 4k upgrade yet. So have been sticking my eyes on blu ray sale.

              • @motui302: As a friendly suggestion, maybe buy used ones from eBay
I recently sold a stack which worked out at $3 each delivered & had only been played once or twice

              • @motui302: ShopBack now offering 6% cash back on Amazon bluray purchases

What? Why on Earth would you blame the Covids? They're a lovely family.

    • According to an insider I know at JB, they have had a lot of stock orders 'on the water' until recently … he also said to me they have got rid of a lot of orphaned unsold stock during the COVID-19 lockdown… which is one explanation for the low stock levels on the shelves. A couple of months back I bought a couple of Amazon Echo Spots for $19.99 and stands for $5.00 each which were discontinued by Amazon late last year.

  • Yay batman time.

Batman Animated and Beyond going to pick them up nowwwwww.

    • Just beware that for some unknown reason the Australian version of the Batman Beyond Return of the Joker movie included with the box set is actually the dvd version, not blu-ray like the rest of the series or like how the movie was released in the US set.

      • … Thanks good to know

  • Hmmm, agents of shield is showing up under 2 for $40, but when I add them to cart And go to checkout, I don’t get the 2 for 40 or the 20% discount. Am I missing something?

    • That’s weird. Just tried with seasons 4 and 5 in BR and the total was $32 :/

      • Excellent- wasn’t working earlier, but definitely now.

No vinyl this time around 😢

  • 20% off. It combines with the current promos (except the binge boxsets with 30% off), including B2G1 free (so 3 x $15.98 movies come down to $8.53 each, almost half price).

OP, more like $10.65 each the 20% off has already been applied.

      Check your maths.

B2G1 for 3 movies at $15.98 regular price comes down to (2 x $15.98 / 3) = $10.65 approx per movie at regular price. Then you apply the 20% off which gives you $8.53 per movie.

The other way to calculate it (which is the same but in different order) is that with 20% off, each movie is $12.78 approx. Doing the same exercise, 3 movies at 20% off price of $12.78 comes down to (2 x $12.78 / 3) = $8.53 approx per movie.

If you don’t believe my maths, then just check it by adding three movies of that price to your cart.

Thanks for trying to clarify it, though :)

Incorrect, $15.98 is not the regular price that is with the 20% off already taken off clearly with the original price crossed out.

    • 20% off, combined with B2G1F would translate to a discount of 46.67%. Nearly 50% as OP has pointed out.

I have to say I never cease to be amazed by the mathematical competence (or lack thereof) of fellow Aussies
