That $3 cashback I put away in Super would become $60 when I retire and I can use it to buy a new game…lol

  • +1

    Wow. Great initiative.

  • 5% on electronics - that is not bad.

  • Wont this be taxed in super ?

    • +1

The money is put in to your super as an after tax contribution (non-concessional contribution). That is because the money is considered a cashback discount not extra earnings. The ATO website says here that these are not taxed ATO Website

  • What about purchases paid for with existing Amazon gift card balance? Still eligible for cashback?

    • Normally no. But in this instance if you screen shot this and email it through to [email protected] after signing up we will make sure you get the $3 if you make a purchase at Amazon AU.

      • Just to clarify, will we still get the boosted cashback % as well as the $3. Eg. the Fire TV Stick is normally 5% cashback, but boosted cashback of 10%+$3 under this offer you've posted. You've mentioned we will get the $3, what about the boosted cashback of 10%?

        • +1

That was not the intention to include the cashback for an Amazon purchase using a gift card. ….. But for you ….. why not? :). So yes ….. Will get the boosted cashback and the $3 as long as you screenshot and send this through to the admin account.

          • @Boost Your Super: Thanks! Will look for something to buy now that you’ve made it attractive to do so :)

  • Assuming super is there in 20+ years. Look what a little covid did to super balances.

    • +1

Stockmarkets are at record highs, so super balances should be doing fine.

      • People with low balances who did the $20k COVID withdrawals are missing out on the rebound though.

        • +2

Boo hoo. People who withdraw money from the stockmarket and then complain when the stockmarket goes up can't expect much sympathy surely.

          • +2

@B3: So many people i know are pulling super out to buy houses or because they can. These people are robbing themselves of their future and will regret it when it comes to retire.

            • @macrocephalic: If money is invested then the negatives aren't so great

              • +1

@Mokr: its not so simple. when you "cash out" you realise your losses. depends on timing on when you reinvest that $

    • "a little covid"

  • What are the referral benefits?

    • +2

For now once you make a purchase you will get the opportunity to refer and earn 20% of whomever you referred earns for their super for one year. We also have some further referral models coming in the next few weeks as well.

Is there a minimum transaction value ?
And how long is this offer available for ?

    • +1

No minimum transaction value for this special. Just make sure you don't purchase from a category that is not 0% cashback. It ends on Saturday at midnight.

  • Better to salary sacrifice and that this as the cash as no tax benefit

    • We think you should do both if you can. As this govt website says "Even small amounts add up over time" MoneySmart. Read the section called Grow your super with extra contributions

  • Buy a Product for Free from Amazon for $3.00 Ie AA or AAA batteries or Golden Cirle Juice Boxes $3.30 Total Cost $0.30 Cashback from $0.10 deposit scheme I am update $3.30 and $3.00 plus returns in 15 years time when I retire :)

  • Due you have an App ?

    • Our website runs as a 'Progressive Web App (PWA)'. We have set it up to be installable to andriod and are working on getting it installable to iPhone in the very near future. You will not have to goto Playstore or App Store to install to your device. When you are signed into your account you have that option in your dashboard under 'Shop on the Go'.
