      Works for me :D

    • Good price :)

  • What SD cards are best for these? I've got an A119 which regularly beeps (indicating it can't record) with a proper Kingston 128GB XC card.

    • I've heard reports that (as you say) proper sandisk/kingston/samsung etc should work fine, but if you find an issue with those types of cards, the correct card to use is the High Endurance cards that are supposedly designed for continual writes, like, for instance, in a dash camera…

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/561916
that would be the kind of card you should be looking for, but i would check some more basic things first, like is the card formatted, in FAT32, is it write protected etc.

  • Don't forget to double down with CR 10% upsized cashback

Waiting for my V2 which is still going strong to pass on before upgrading to a new one.

Ouch, prices have gone up. The A119 V3 with GPS used to be regularly under $120.

As the Guide told me to, GST has been added as part of the title
The take home price should be AUD$140.28

  • Shit bought A119v3 w/GPS and hardwire kit for $203 from Harvey Norman last week :(

    • +1

      Ouch,
If its any condolence, warranty issues should be much easier with Harvey Norman over AliExpress…

      • True and arrived within three days in the mail so kinda got ok with that

Maybe I'm missing something but I feel like you might as well spend the extra ~$20 for HN.

    edit: Or $158 at Ebay.

    • Very true, even though it’s Harvey, Aussie receipt is gold

You'll probably also get it before Christmas.

Thanks for bringing this local option to our attention.

Are there any installers in Melbourne and what would one be looking to pay? Does the HN one come with the option for the hardwire kit, really want to make sure I'm covered for any carpark incidents.

      • Not too hard to do yourself with a wire tap fuse, probably be able to find a YouTube vid for your specific cars fuse box

  • Two of these, or one that comes with the front and rear synchronised camera? (Viofo A129 Pro Duo 4K)

    • +1

same question i have, so far i have not found any dual channel cam that can do 1080p 60fps front and rear, by having both A119v3, yes you can acheive that and also the option of 1440p front and rear cam

      • The Viofo A129 Pro Duo 4K has 2140P front, with 130 deg coverage but 1080P rear.
My concern is the non synch if using two A119, and double taps in the battery to provide power.
In the duo, there is a cable from the primary front unit to reverse unit.

        • yes, pros and cons of having 2 channel and 2 separate cams. If you intend to hardwire, 2 channel is simpler

          • @blue1ce39: OTOH, if you get two single channel, you have twice the storage, as they both record independantly of each other

            • @JohnathonDoe: 1 cam with 2 channels is definitely better if it gives you what you want. I have been running separate front and rear dashcams for close to 4 years now before 2 channels dashcams were even out. No big deal with 2 separate cards as I found most of the time it's only required to review footage from either front or rear. Still works till today.
Atm, I am looking for a new 2 ch that can do 1080p 60fps or 2k 30fps front n rear for a different car. Not sure why most options now don't give you better options for rear as I find that it's the most challenging to get the rear camera right at night as you don't have a headlight and glare.

Picked up a A129 Duo with GPS + HWK and 64gb Samsung sd card for just under $200

    • May I ask where please?

      • +2

Ebay from a1_electric_toys during the 21% off

Looks they removed the offer of the HWK but still a better deal. Works out to $196.71 click here

        They also have a A119 v3 +GPS that works out to $131
