I was looking for a Swiss watch and came across this deal. There are 7 models on sale currently. Few of them are really eye-catching and I ended up buying the Seastrong with smart phone connectivity. Couldn't find any reviews of it but here is a closer look of the model.

Alpina is one of the oldest established Swiss brands, founded in 1883, and was well known for it's war time aviation watches. A well respected company, it used to be much better known, but as with many companies it went through a period of hard times and lost its market position. Recently the company was purchased by upstart Frederique Constant, who is now making great strides to rebuild the position of the brand. Between the two companies, Alpina can be considered to be the sportier of the two, and produces an excellent line of aviation watches and some really interesting sailing and diving watches. I compare their aviation watches to watches from IWC, but for a third of the price. Build quality is excellent, and they are priced far below where they could be selling for (even their watches with 100% in-house movements are a steal). Frederique Constant, and therefore Alpina, position their watches as "Affordable Luxury", meaning they strive to build watches of mid-luxury niche quality, but offer them at entry-luxury prices. You get a lot of watch for your money with Alpina

Anyway, the battery changing and servicing can be expensive for this brand. Warranty claim can be a pain too. But again Im happy to change the battery of a 300-500$ watch by myself rather than going to a service center.
BTW Thanks for reading my first post here.
I wear a watch to bed every so often as I'm lazy but sleep monitoring on a watch that is 45mm x 15mm… you gotta be dedicated.
