$38 is a good price but still too high for me for this game. Lots of goodies tho

Possibly the most over-hyped game ever. The collectibles are worth it though for a bit of Duke Nukem memorabilia.
Possibly because it was one of the longest games in development… People have been waiting for this for 14 years!
I'm glad it finally got released though, apparantly another Duke Nukem games is on the way (eventually?) and it will hopefully bring the glory back to the king…
Maybe Gearbox should step down and let a more capable developer take rein.
Gearbox only finished off the game for release. They did this so that they would have license to make their own game in the series from scratch.
Feel sorry for the poor guys that pre-ordered this version, mainly just because the game is shite…

I preorderd this game about a month before release, but thanks to Zavvi's crappy customer service, they cancelled the preorder without notifying me and gave me a refund.
You must have been peed off at the time but it was actually a blessing in disguise.
why was the game so bad? I remember loving the N64 version!
The gameplay was so antiquated and not in a cool, retro kind of way.
Personally, I stopped played after about half way through the game as it was just painful and left a bitter taste in my mouth. I grew up playing DN1/2 so I've seen the rise and fall of the franchise, the peak obviously being DN3D. This new game was similar to many of the late 90s era DN spin-offs : boring, mediocre, derivative and largely forgettable.

This game is terrible. It would probably have been a hit if It was completed and sold last decade (10+ years ago) but today's FPS gaming standard is not that low anymore.
