VIC isn't part of any container deposit scheme, which generally raises prices by 10+ cents per can/bottle. So for the time being (Until 2022-2023), VIC should always have the lowest pricing in the country.
thank you for the insightful information, that's interesting to know!
it's a little sad that consumers r penalised for supporting a greener initiative….
assuming they charge consumer 10+ cents more, where 5 cents to be refunded to the consumer n the rest goes to "administrative"….
That's correct. The suppliers of drinks products will generally raise prices more than 10c per can/bottle to cover "admin" but the consumer can only redeem 10c per can/bottle.
Thanks to vu for state pricing. Updated description.
If you're an Amazon Prime member, set up a $22.8 camelcamelcamel alert on the 36 can pack of your choosing, and with the addition of 10% off for subscribe and save, that's 57c per can.
