Mr Finch Cider Rosé (8% v/v, 2.1 Std Drinks) 24×330ml $35 @ Liquorland

320

Bought some at this price a few weeks ago. I'd say it's decently drinkable, and certainly great value for the alcohol content.

Seems like there's plenty of stores with Click & Collect stock—at least a few around Melbourne—and delivery is available.

Whatever the hell rosé cider is. Sounds like a, err, creative, tax-related innovation.

come by mine too. i need a mow

    • How'd it taste??

      • 3rd case now, pretty good IMO!
I add sparkling water to it as its crazy strong and a but sweet

        • I’m on my 3rd case in a few weeks , if you have a few in a night you do get a strong buzz 😂

Damn, out of stock at my local Liquorland. Sounds like it would've been excellent for those of us out here judging grog by its percentage and nothing else.

    • It’s $100 and free delivery as well..

      • No one at home during the day and I don't know if I could live with the shame of having this delivered to work.

Maybe I should have it delivered to my parents' instead… hmm… could be easier to explain.

        • Haha, I’m just expecting it to taste like cheap wine with juice flavouring , we will see..

  • Apparently it’s a permanent pride drop to $35, seems extremely cheap for that price , hope it doesn’t taste too much like trash ..

    • Doubt it considering taxes total to more than $35 before making any profits. Someone is making a loss on each case at this price.

Isn't cider consisted wine still, and charged as a % of the wholesale price?

        • Ah yes, I'm mistaken, if the cider is between 8% and 22% (inclusive) it's considered wine. I thought it was more than 8%.

          • @Trance N Dance: So this is wine in a can?

why don’t cider producers make cider at 8% then and they would pay less tax as it’s classed as wine right ?

  • Mercury hard cider is a similar strength and doesn't taste bad. It's also pretty cheap - but not this cheap.

    • Yeh mercury is around $53 a case normally

  • hey, I just received my boxes and date says 20219. Are they out of date? What do your boxes say?

    • Haven’t received my second order, if my first ones were out of date I’ve drank most of them and I’m still alive

  • Damn they put the price back up to $45, knew it was too good to be true
