Greetings comrades,

Hope you're all well especially during this troubling time.

I believe this may be the cheapest price for the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Chinese version, and from a very reputable seller - I've bought lots of stuff from Goldway, including a Xiaomi redmi note 4x.

I would link to some specs, reviews but gotta run, and we all know Xiaomi.

Cheers, Wystri Warrick 😄

    • 450 nits? That's impressive! I bought the cheapo Chinese knock off of the cheapo Chinese original—M5—and the screen is unreadable outdoors XD

  • Orders from aliexpress are taking a long time.

    • +3

It's orders from China, not just aliexpress. Delivery network has come to a grinding halt.

      • +1

Still waiting for my order even after 2 months,

        • +1

I had a thing delivered after 6 months

    • Given there'll be an uptick in the level of orders in the sale, you might find these will arrive a bit faster than where things have been at the last few months.

But yes, the lack of air travel means that air freight has been slower.

      • Ordered something on eBay, shipped from Sydney to Sydney. Took 2 weeks. Bought two items on Aliexpress shipped from CN, almost 2 months, and still waiting.

        • +1

I waited 91 days for one item, but neither example has anything to do with what I'm saying.

This next 90-day period is AliE's biggest for the year.

    • Just had something delivered using Aliexpress Standard Shipping I ordered on 17th of July. So 28 business days. Not too bad.

    • +1

Ive ordered 9 things over the last 2 months all from China. The most useless item of the bunch a keychain arrived first within 2 weeks even though it was the last item I purchased. They were all shipped roughly around same time. Who really knows whats up with the postal services :L

  • Can these display progress on Strava or do you need to record via the Mi Fit app?

  • anything else missing from the Chinese version other than nfc?
(assuming nfc works for payment using a bank app or Google wallet.)
thinking of getting this for the mrs since her zenwatch is not giving accurate metrics

    • That's how I read it, once sync'd it will change to English from the initial language of Chinese.

      • global version had the sp02 sensor stripped out as well for some reason…

        • Does the CN version have sp02?

  • Chinese version is cheaper, I've read that it's the same as international anyway other than the packaging?

    • better since it has NFC

      • +3

The NFC is useless outside of China

        • oh… well then I guess its basically the same then. The review i skimmed only mentioned the NFC

        • Is the Chinese NFC different?

          • +2

@wisdomtooth: NFC on Miband 5 works only with Mipay which is the Xiaomi payment gateway and only exists/works in China.

Not bad. Better than this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/559547

  • I was going to order from Ali, and then the shipping times threw me off.

    • +2

Just think of it as a surprise Christmas present for yourself !

  • code does not work

  • This promo code is a limited offer and is no longer available.

  • Shipping from HK would take a month, ordered 1 at $37.5

Not sure why is this a bargain when the ALDI watch are sale for 39.99. They have a magnetic charger and can be used more of a watch rather than a band with all the same functions.

You're comparing Miband 5 vs Aldi smart watch? Why are you even on ozbargain, just shop at the Reject Shop or $2 shop and you'll always get a bargain.
