Theres two variants, a gunmetal grey and a black, with the grey being worth mor and the black being cheaper. OP matched the wrong sale price to the RRP
How good are these torches? Is it overkill to get one of these? Would want one of these to use at night on my rural property. Can it really light up 1000 metres away?
It's 1000m FL1 standard meaning 0.25 lux @ that distance. A good rule of thumb is to halve the FL1 distance so basically you'll see 500 meters comfortably.
I would say it's not good for use on your property because it only has 2 modes, FULL 1100 lumens and 150 lumens which is too inflexible for close or mid-long range. This light is definitely a hunting light.

What do you want it to do? The below prices are sale prices and will end at different times so if you want one now is the time to act.
If you want a handheld spot, the Javelot Pro has more lumens at the same range but is designed as a hunting torch (Rifle mounted) for $223.96.
The Warrior X Pro is 2250 Lumens at 600m for $151.96
The M2R Warrior Pro Gunmetal Grey is 1800 lumens, 300m throw and has more spill for a more usable edc for $122.47
Seeker Pro 2 is a 3200-lumen floodlight with a max throw of 250m on turbo for $159.96
The next big sale will most likely be Black Friday if you don't grab something from this sale and there is no guarantee what they will have at the next one either
I second the Javelot Pro for that, if not the insane X9R. You could also consider other brands if you want lots of light + distance for extended run times, but that's basically just because they are bigger. Olight does really well on lights that throw far for shorter periods but can still be carried.
The X9R is a lot of torch, but you could always go the Imalent R90TS for 36,000 lumens! The Lumintop FW21 Pro Compact 10000 lumen enthusiasts LED torch @ $129.95 would be a bloody good option too!
they are good quality lights. Now you just need to pick the one that has features you need. The New Warrior X Turbo is compact. meaning you can carry easily (more easy than the Javelot). If you need to spot things in your property, you will most likely use it at full power most of the times anyway, so modes shouldn't be an issue. Use a smaller light if you will be using around the house, like an S1rII.
