  • Can I get a (profanity) private health cover?

Not worth it. Medibank is pretty bad for claims. My girl got $100 back for wisdom tooth extraction. I claimed back 100% big difference, she was out of pocket $380 after $120 back from medibank. I was with Bupa, paid nothing out of pocket, just walked out.

Devils in the detail. Did she go to one of their member providers? Did you go to Bupa’s?

        Yes, Yes

    • Agree with LittleTicket - unless you both have the same policy and visited the same clinic and had the same procedure - you're comparing apples and oranges.

  • For me it is the opposite, I left Bupa for Medibank a couple of years because Bupa wasn't giving me much in rebate. For same premium Medibank offered me a much better cover and the claim process was straight forward.

    • Agree. I’m currently with Medibank and it is far better than NIB.

Get a combined limit of $1000 with no sub limits and 70% back. 100% optical and dental checkup coverage. Thought the premium is $300 higher than NIB for family.
