    Price is $249USD

      $249+GST?
      Price with $385
      Price without $349
Stupidly overpriced compared to Creality Ender 3/pro/v2

      • *FREE SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE YOUR COUNTRY'S IMPORT TAX, CHECK BEFORE ORDERING!

  • How does this compare to the creality 3d ender ?

    • Expensive.

      • So it's not really a bargain then?

        • no it isnt.

    • The SV01 has an Ultrabase style glass bed which is a great bed type. The Pro has a magnetic bed and the Ender 3 x has a tempered glass bed. The SV01 has a 280mm x 240mm x 300mm build volume compared to the 220x220x250 mm of the Ender 3 platform.

      • thanks.

How do they compare on print quality ?

    • +5
      1. Sovol printers are larger with 280 x 240 x 300mm build volume, while ender 3 is 220220250mm.
      2. Sovol SV01 utilizes direct drive technic which works better with flexible filaments, while ender uses bowden style extruder.
        Hope the info helps.
      • thanks

there are pros and cons to bowden vs DD. for more info try to go to Makers Muse or Teaching Tech on YT. They have informative vids on your first 3d printer if thats what youre looking for jv

      Has some features that the Ender3 doesn't;

This is Direct Drive. The Ender 3 extruder is a bowden style - it 'pushes' the filament through a long tube. This is Direct Drive, meaning it'll have a better chance with flexible filaments, and will just have a better quality of extrusion with certain filaments.

This has two Z Lead Screws. The Ender 3 only has one, meaning the main gantry is only raised from a single side. Having two can provide a better consistency on the print layers.

It's much like a next iteration of the Ender 3 Pro.

  • What's shipping times like to Melbourne?

    • +1

Sovol fulfills and ships SV01 printers from its Melbourne warehouse, in your case, it takes approximately 1-3 days to receive SV01.

  • Can you explain what the SV01+Silent Board and TPU options are?

Are they included in this deal?

    • Yes, the deal works with all the options in the SV01 listing, but the Silent Board and TPU will be shipped separately from Sovol China's warehouse, while SV01 will be shipped from Melbourne warehouse.

  • Cant be shipped to NSW 2207

    • Yes we of course ship to Sydney from Sovol's AU warehouse.

      • If I was able to attach a screen shot of the checkout I would show you the message.
"This order can't be shipped to your location. Contact the store for more information."

        • I see what you mean now, you may select the "Ship from" variants with "Australia" rather than the default "USA" before checking out. Thanks for the feedback though, we will optimize that soon.

Lots of people hating on this, but from a quick read of reviews and looking at the specs I wouldn't discount it so quickly.

    • You've got direct drive (something people often spend ~$100 on adding to their printer)
    • You've got a larger print bed than an Ender 3
    • Dual Z-motors
    • Mostly pre-assembled (although I think it's good for people to build from scratch, because if you want to keep it calibrated and running well, you'll need to understand how it goes together)
    • Silent drivers for the stepper motors

To be honest, it doesn't seem too bad at all to me.

    • Silent board is an addon. Cost of the board is slightly above what you'd pay for the E3 equiv.

  • Do we need to pay GST for buying from their website?

    • Not if its based in AUS

    • No, there's no need to pay GST buying from Sovol website.

Any suggestions on buying of filament?
They got 2 rolls of TPU for $56.99 USD.
I dunno if this is a good price or not?

Anyone else who has ordered this.. did you get any of the extras like the BL Touch or Silent Board??

This my first 3D printer so little confused with it all

    • I'd say $56.99 USD is already a good price, even many outsiders bought TPU from Sovol. Also, Sovol got a upgrade pack for SV01, you can save like $5 usd (~A$6.9) by purchasing the bundle of BL Touch and Silent Board.

      Hope the info helps.

  • When does this expire? Thanks

    • It says today… Not sure exactly but that's what it's listed as

Just seen on the website they have dropped it to $269 without the voucher… Only a difference of $20… The voucher code currently still drops it the extra $20 to USD$249

    • If you plan to order… Don't obtain any filaments from them…

I tried and had that section of the order refunded back to me.

Was told to source something locally…
