Up to 40% off Past-season Styles (R2 Techface Jacket $174.97 Delivered) @ Patagonia

120

Some decent pickups but expect this to sell out quick for the hot items. Lots of hats and shorts, unfortunately no better sweater nor much in terms of fleece.

Popular picks:

Men's R2 TechFace Jacket
$174.97 from $249.95

Men's Micro Puff Jacket
$244.97 from $349.95

Men's Down Sweater
$230.97 from $329.95

Men's Reversible Bivy Down Vest
$188.97 from $269.95

Women's Better Sweater Coat
$188.97 from $269.95

Torrentshell also on sale like usual. Personally not a big fan, would prefer it was insulated but it seems popular.

Good sizing when I checked but expect this to sell out quick as usual.

  • Any bargains?

    • Socks.

They rarely deviate from RRP, so the discount is genuine.

I'd say the down jackets are good value in Mens and the womens have some cool stuff like the better sweater coat.

If you're one of those people who thinks Brand X is over priced and won't ever buy it because you can get the "same thing" at Store Y, then no, probably not.

        So 99% of OzBargainers?

        • +1

What's your point? The majority of deals posted dont apply to 95% of Ozbargainers. Are you trying to imply that jackets over a certain price aren't worth posting?

          • @bobloblawlawblog: No, my original comment was posted when you only had "Up to 40% off in the Title with no specifics of deals. Not saying jackets over a certain price aren't good deals (I have a TNF Nuptse 1996 Jacket), just that you didn't list anything originally.

@WoodenSpoon: Yes i've updated that now. Though the website is quite clear on what the discount is, people will need to do their own research on if they think it warrants the cost.

My response was to your "So 99% of OzBargainers?" comment.

Not sure why you feel the need to be antagonistic for no reason.

  • Hi OP

Was wondering if you had any advice regarding options for insulated waterproof jackets (men’s).

It seems that most waterproofs are shells. Any suggestions? (Doesn’t have to be patagonia)

    Thanks in advance

    • I've had the same issue actually. I'm yet to find a good insulated waterproof jacket I like that doesn't cost a fortune. Sorry!

I've mostly resorted to wearing softshells as they tend to be water resistant enough, and have a fleece lining. I have a cheapo from Costco which I like but mostly use it for outdoors stuff. Otherwise my Kathmandu down jacket is water resistant enough for my commute.

I have recently bought Jack Wolfskin chilly morning jacket from Wiggle as it was 40% off. Love it to death, inner is filled with synthetic fibre and outer is waterproof, windproof shell. It might meet your expectation.

      • wow nice one

      • Jack Wolfskin is an excellent brand and not as well recognised here so you can grab a bargain. Their Activate XT pants are brilliant for casual wear in cold and snowy climates - look classy, great fit, waterproof, adjustable seal at the bottom so they can fit over hiking boots , lots of zipper pockets and stretchy for movement.

Ray's Outdoors used to have them on special several times of the year but now they are MacPac that doesn't seem to happen.

Grab a Torrentshell and a Nano-Air (jacket) and you're all set! Both are on special

The Nano air jacket is brilliant. Featherlight and easy to pack yet provides excellent warmth, breathability and flexibility. Looks classy too. I was seriously impressed how warm it gets.

Wore mine through the depths of a Denver winter last year - put it over a merino thermal and cover it with a good quality rain jacket and you're good to go.

        Highly recommended.

Layering is usual approach with outdoor clothing.

    • Are you XL size? If so, this is bargain for what it is -> https://www.tomsoutdoors.com.au/collections/mens-clearance/p…

Big shout out to Tom's Outdoors. My favourite store for outdoor clothing - great prices and excellent service.

  • The North Face have insulated waterproof jacket, looks like Cotswold Outdoor have some limited sizes at good deal of $130 vs $169 on sale at TNF website
