Buying a second hand PC still under warranty. Need advice please.

Hi,

I have been offered to by a second hand pc still under warranty for $1800

Is it worth it for the below specs?

32GB RAM

Intel Core i7-9700 K
Rog Strix B365-
Gigabyte FeForce RTX 2060 Windforce OC

Coolermaster CM-590 III

Can I added cooling to the Coolermaster?

Seems like a cheap case for such good specs.

  • If you know how to build a PC, it would be good to just assemble your own especially if you have a$1800 budget

    no

  • No, this is not a good deal.

  • At first glance looks expensive for those specs. You can buy a new PC similar specs for cheaper.

    • Thanks. I did think it was too much but not a pc guru.

      Thanks everyone.

I just googled all those items without any bargains and clicking the first link. It went to $1600 brand new. Who the hell is selling it to you for $1800 used?

And he would have gotten away with it too, if weren't for you meddling ozbargainers

  • Put that list into Pc Part picker and got $1600… if the rtx is actually a 2060 super or there is a good cpu cooler, rgb ram, good power supply + drives could make up the difference. The red flag is saying that it is under warranty, because it's not as soon as you sell the computer. The case only supports 120mm aio coolers.

  • Pairing a 9700k with a 2060 doesn't make sense unless the graphics card really wasn't a priority, but you'd still like something better than basic for the occasional gaming.

Together with the 32Gb of RAM, sounds like someone's flogging their old content-production PC to an unsuspecting mug.

Why not let us know what you do with the computer, set the $1800 as a budget and let someone figure out what to get?
