Avoid the solid rock clay at all costs, one of the worst smelling hair products I've ever had. It brought me back to my childhood, visiting an elderly relative in a hospice, stale tobacco mixed with pungent geriatric, and it wasn't subtle about it.
They aren't kidding about it not being water soluble either. After giving it the benefit of the doubt I added some to my hair, worked as good as any clay I've used after a bit of work, then tried to wash it off my hands, and then tried to wash it off my hands, and then tried to wash it off my hands. After a few scrubs I resorted to the old favorite of squeezing a lemon over my hands, then did the same to my hair after a shower to get rid of the smell. Imagine it'd do a good job for long days outside if it was neutral, but holy hell.
Got it out again just now to make sure I wasn't just making stuff up, and legitimately wretched. For half the price I'll stick with Lynx Clay; cheap, smells nice, barely needs to be warmed up.
I got the soft rock wax too as they sent it to me originally by mistake, faint smell of the usual hair product chemical scent mixed with a fruity scent, not awful, but I still wouldn't pay a premium for it.
