lol Superman is a friggin snooze, unsurprisingly some of his best portrayals have been as him being the villian, hes just that much of a boring superhero.
Without memorable Villains what point would the super hero's have? …. from when you are kids the Villains make the story (in comics or tv .. imagine a Thundercats without Mumm-ra ..or He-Man without Skeletor …oof) … and all the Villains that have more to them than just being evil are the memorable ones, even recently without Thanos, avengers wouldn't be as popular as they are…

I think because it's a very simplistic view to question why people like 'bad' things (more accurately, find them interesting), so when someone says it, you can't really reply by compressing the complexity of the subject in a few sentences (esp if they question it in the first place, they prob won't understand easily). So I think it's easier/quicker/less effort for ppl to just downvote them to show that they disagree (IMO)
