  Shipping takes about 3 days to Sydney (amazon.de uses DHL Express). You have to forgo Australian warranty, and you need to change the plug or use a plug adapter (no voltage conversion required), but neither of those issues bother me personally.

(Note that I did not neg this deal, because I appreciate some people might still want a local option — which I why I mentioned warranty. But I think it's helpful to give people other options, because not everyone gives warranties the same value.)

  I just got a DC23 Animal Pro from Amazon.de (germany) delivered new for $480. Average deal here in AUS, fully recommend you check out amazon.de for the dysons, arrives in less than a week and all you need is adapter plug or replacement. Neg1

    Having owned two Dysons already, and being one of the early adopters of Dysons in Australia, I wouldn't buy one without a local warranty. Grey imports aren't really a equitable comparison. Good luck to you if you buy a grey import.

  Not entirely certain about it, but I have the niggling suspicion that these dysons are cheaper at places like good guys whenever they're on sale. The prices quoted from secondsworld almost seem RRP to me.

  I got a dc23 from amazon.de ordered it on Friday 6.30 pm was at my door Tuesday morning. excellent machine. BTW i accidently ordered it with one click ordering - the buttons don't translate on google crome and i buy all my kindle books on amazon so i was auto signed in - so be careful when browsing. Lucky it was something I wanted. $1 for adaptor on ebay if you don't already have one. I'm willing to take the risk on warranty never had any problems with dyson before my first one blew up after 5 years of full on use - way outside any warranty anyway.
