You'll have to be more specific. Which ice cream?
Go DIY and make 2 ingredient ice-cream. Mix some thickened cream until it's fluffy and fold something like blended fruit, or melted chocolate, coffee or anything really and freeze. Recipes say to use sweetened condensed milk as well but I find that to be too sweet, especially if you're making Nutella ice cream.
A few hours will give you really soft ice-cream. I usually blend strawberries to a nice puree.
Banana icecream is also pretty damn good. Slice some bananas (ones that are getting too brown to eat are good) then freeze. Once frozen, put into food processor and blitz until it forms a ball. That's it. Goes well with chocolate sauce or peanut butter.
I really wish I liked the taste of banana. So many good things have it.
Nah I notice weird base rrp jumps all the time. Especially easy to notice if it's something you buy regularly.
RRP has gone up on basically everything and now half price sales aren’t even that good! I think the budget-ey icrecream brands are seeing how much people pay for premium brands and want in on it.
Could be devaluation of the dollar due to expansion of the money supply (i.e. Inflation). Ice cream is the same worth but the money used to buy it isn't worth as much, so you need more of it.
Yep, it might have been more than a year but I remember when these were $7.
Now, I only buy the $5 coles or woolies brand unless Sara Lee is half price at $4.50.
They sneak the prices up by doing a half price special of the new higher price for a week so you don't notice it as much.
Inflation. Everything is getting more expensive each year.
Good deal. Too fat. I'm out.
Is it just me, or has ice cream become really expensive over the past year?
