Any Aircon Deals?

looking for good aircon deals for my home. location WA. old aircon died last year . lol time to get one now as prices r cheaper in winters.

  Splits or ducted?

  Unlike previous years, I noticed are no cash back offers from Panasonic, Fujitsu, etc in winter this year.

  I wonder if it's due to reduced supply or increased demands (or combo of both). With people working from home, everyone will want an aircond before the start of Summer.

  Anecdotally, I noticed whitegoods are more expensive than last year too.

    Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Electric ran offers throughout winter (recently ended). Panasonic promotion is nowhere to be seen. Might be delayed, or none at all to take advantage of anticipated higher demand.

      You're right.

      If Panasonic hasn't offered it by now, then I'd say no promo this year due to increased demand and/or reduced supply.

      I'd imagine it's a popular product to install in this year due to work from home.

        It's an interesting strategy though, they probably don't see Fujitsu and ME as their key competitors (otherwise they will be losing market share not only from a sales perspective but also service parts). Probably see themselves as in the same group as Daikin (no promotion too)?

          @delfredo: I think Panasonic are in pretty in a good market position.

          Not the best splits (Daikin and MHI) but still a very good product. Realiable and every installer knows how to install them. Most popular brand of splits on the market.

          I don't think Daikin are their competitors.

          For splits, Daikin are too expensive for the consumer home market and Panasonic ducted isn't has highly regarded as Daikin.

          Personally have had 3 Panasonic splits in my previous home as you can't beat them for value for money.

          Current house has 3 phase Daikin ducted. Fantastic cooling but not looking forward to the bill this Summer if we are working from home.

  I am waiting for a cashback deal too, in the hunt for a 5kw split system aircon.
