    Is it GTA5 or Fortnight?

    • If you mean can it run GTA5 of Fortnite, no it can't. You'd have to chuck in a GTX 1050 Ti LP or any other decent low-profile GPU to play those games.

You could use a GT1030 in if these were the only games you wanted to play. It’s about half the cost of a 1050Ti

No GTA5/Fortnight, no deal. I buy cheap mini pc with low power and no noise

    • Erm, neither?

    • no, but word and excel fine

Price is a little high for the spec.

    • Yeah it is a bit but ebay tax and established dealer tax…

Agree, but I bought a small form HP G1 desktop with i5 4670, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB for $185 off eBay delivered a couple of months ago.
Unmarked exterior and really low hours.
Chucked in a spare SSD, DP to HDMI converter and is great for the lounge.

        • DP to HDMI converter pass through sound? I got a sound bar attached to TV so preferrably to have the sound pass through to TV and then sound bar from the computer.

  • Any thoughts for a MAME cabinet? Have been pondering an option to upgrade my old setup. Don’t want to play cutting edge but some of the mid 90’s stuff like NBA Jam and Mortal Kombat struggle a bit with the current rig. And most mportantly want to get the best version I can get running of golden tee golf

  • Anything with HDMI output?

    • Will require a graphics card, in low profile, to give you HDMI on these Dell and other ex office PCs. Suggest you decide what level card you need - i.e. what you will be doing with it.
For Web browsing and watching avis etc on my TV, the graphics in the CPU is fine on an i5 4th generation, using a DP to HDMI converter..
If you want to use for gaming etc, you will need something like the suggestions above. And the CPU might start to get a bit strained, depends if the game is CPU or GPU intensive.
Or use a dedicated higher spec PC for gaming/video editing etc. but that is probably not what you are planning?
I just use several PCs around the house, since I have kids and these are cheaper than consoles.

      • just streaming TV and movies from desktop to TV.
is it capable 1080p? I guess this is sufficient for me at this stage.

  • This or Raspberry Pi 4 for Plex server?

I just happened to have 16GB RAM from a dead PC which can be used in this one. Someone mentioned HP EliteDesk 800 G1 for the same price. But Youtube video suggest that HP only takes laptop memory, but has 16x PCIE slot, compare to 4x in this one. So this could still be better if no gaming required?
