seems to have some questionable permission requests

      What questionable permission requests?

On Android10, only made 2 requests:
access to Storage (to play videos & music)
access to Phone (likely to turn music off while on call)
That's all that it lists under Permissions in App Info.

So accessing media files by a media player is questionable??

A person posting a User Review asks why it needs access to phone state.
But most wouldn't want video or music playing while receiving a call.

There's a whole lot more permissions listed on the google play page than just those two, which I imagine is the cause for suspicion.

        • Thanks. (Am on Android, so that page doesn't show. Link directly opens Google Play.)

Yes those show up as Granted Permissions in Permission Manager App.

          Only 2 were Requested.
That's why I asked what are those questionable permission requests.
Better to point them out & discuss any issues.

So many apps I use also have those Granted Permissions to access the internet, Wi-Fi etc (used to stream videos in this app).

I use MX Player Pro which also has a long list of Granted Permissions - to allow it to operate. It only requests permission to access Storage.

    Thanks for posting.
Aren't VLC or MX player the same features?
