Just Realised a Bargain I Bought Has Only a US Plug Best Converter?

Here is the deal for background:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/554988

The poster says it comes with a AU plug. However the answered question on the page says it comes only with a US plug.

I would prefer a quality adaptor as I want to avoid any early failures.

So what adapter would people recommend for this drive?

Edit: I just noticed that many of reviews state that this item has no AU plug and they are pissed that it was being advertised on Amazon AU without AU plugs.
So it seems very likely I will need an Adaptor.

Side Note: Is it weird to anyone the post suggested a correction of my title by captalising the first letter of every word. Bug or Feature?

adaptor is adaptor. it doesnt do anything much. go with cheap adaptor. no point in getting expensive one.

anyway, what kind of power cable is it?

    • Cheap adapters (such as I've had supplied by gearbest with cheap android boxes) can have crappy contacts and intermittent connections, particularly if they get nudged. Definitely not something you want on a hard drive.

Seagates come with an adpater that allows you to change the plug to multiple countries. Western digital only came with an adapter that connects to the originating countries power.

Usually Seagate External Drives (at least 3 x that I bought at different times) come with a power adapter with interchangeable plugs to fit multiple countries and regions - Similar to this

Therefore before you purchase an adapter perhaps wait till you receive the Drive and see what comes with it.

      • Yeah I had heard that as well one did mention intl adaptors but several of the answers said that it wasn't the case. Not sure whats true here and I just want to be prepared.
        .

        • I just noticed a review from a person who claimed he saw it on ozbargain and was dissapointed to learn on receipt it didn't contain an AU plug.

          • @Neverpayretail: Even the Seagate drives I bought locally from JB Hifi came with multiple adapter attachments, yours will too. If really not, you can contact Seagate for free replacements. If not, you're welcome to one of my spares.

  • I saw adaptors discounted in a lot of physical stores, as I think no one is really buying for travel at the moment.

    Or $5 at Bunnings/Kmart…

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/reverse-travel-adaptor---uk…

But as mentioned above you might not need any adaptor.

The $5 ones at OfficeWorks are the best by far. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/universal-…
