  • it's a good price, the only problem is it may take 10 days posted to Australia.

      maybe 20 days…

I played BF2 since 2005 and still like that game. So personally I think battlefield 3 is worthy to wait for the physical copy. BTW, just got email from Thehut my order has been dispatched just 10 to 20 days to go. Other ozbargainer has put where to find a key if u guys want BF3 urgently.

  • wondering this one is uk version, is this the same we can get from EBgame??
if this is same one and playable in AUS, this is gd price for sure!…i m sure EBgames selling near $100 when it 1st release..cheers

    • Yes and no. No - it's not the same, in that it's a UK version with UK age rating and other UK related text on the box. Yes - it's the same, in that it should work just the same.

  • It's the same PC version you get locally, yes. Good deal for L.E. of the physical copy.

    Cheaper from DVD.co.uk = £27.49 + £1.39 shipping = £28.88 (http://www.dvd.co.uk/buy/catbaf3pc/battlefield-3-pc.htm)

This is due to DVD.co.uk removing the VAT (UK tax) from the overall price for Australian (and other international) customers.

You'll find that it's the best place to buy most new release games.

I'm sorry but this is the limited edition, which dvd.co.uk doesnt have for PC at least.

      • Oh my mistake! Retracted my vote.

I actually didn't know the limited edition was available for PC. I read a piece on IGN a while ago stating that it was for PS3 and XBOX only (despite PC being the lead console for the game).

Should just go www.greenmangaming.com. get it instantly, just did it, downloading the game now, 20%…why wait when everything is internet now days…unless you got low cap which u cannot download.

I agree, if you want it, just get it from greenmangaming, seems like a top deal.

I ordered mine from a UK store too though, but i dont mind as i have exams coming up so dont need the distraction.

If anyone is interested, theres a couple of sellers on ebay in Australia selling the LE for $49.75 posted. I think thats not a bad deal. Definitely would get it faster than from the UK, boxed copy also.

  • Best to get it from zavvi http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/battlefield-3-limite…
They're apparently the same company but from personal experience buying from both, zavvi ships faster than the hut.

    • How fast does Zavvi ship? I think they are the same company…

  • Bought mine with free shipping.

  • The good people are Zavvi actually went and despatched my copy last week which is surprising to say the least. Didn't know they get stock in advance.

    • Thanks. Cost me $39.69AUD :)

  • I have thoroughly enjoyed the Battlefield series, admittedly only played BF1942 and BF2.

Those 2 were amongst the most fun games I have ever played. BF2 has serious longevity, 6 years on and servers are still full at peak times.

I have high hopes for BF3.

Hopefully one day they will redo BF1942, with VoiP, Squads and 64 (or more) players.

This is a good deal…I got it a few deals ago.

Hope it will arrive, one day.

  • Anyone tried this yet:

    http://directgamekeys.com/products.php?product=Battlefield-3-%28Origin{47}EADM%29-CD%252dKey

Russian key, and download the language files/reg hack to play in english?

DirectGameKeys.com is certainly legit, have bought stuff there in the past - wondering if anyone has experience with the region/language restricted BF3 though?

    • following up my own question. Ended up buying the russian key for $AUD25 and it all seems to work fine (after having downloaded an extra 900mb of english laungage files!)

  • This is the place I bought it from.
    Shipped two days ago.
Would prefer to have a boxed copy that I KNOW is legit rather than have to change my game files EVERY TIME there is an update because it is in russian.

  • Amazon is still $50 isnt it? put the key in origin and you are playing today.

  • just a note on this… found a code online for zavvi which results in a 10% discount! and a free 3-month magazine subscription.

  • Recommend onlinecdkeyseller.com $44.99
Played the game and it´s so awesome (multiplayer). But don´t like the campaign(disappointed).

  • still haven't received mine :/ lucky i have exams to take my mind off it

    • They shipped mine on the 22nd and I'm still waiting. I'm sure it's mainly due to the Qantas debacle though :\

  • Damn, mine was dispatched on the 27th. Can you give me a heads up when you receive yours? & which state are you in?

    • Sure, I'll update the thread as soon as I receive my copy. I'm in VIC btw

      • Alright, i'm in Brisbane and if i receive it i'll update as well.

  • Okay just an update, I finally received my copy. They actually shipped it express from Sweden (???) on the 22nd so a MAJOR delay must have occured on Qantas's side.

  • VIC here. Got both my copies from theHut and Zavvi today as well!
