    Insects are 90% water
SO would this work as insect repellant?

Do you think it'll work on glasses to keep them from fogging up with a mask?

    • +1

      Exactly what I was wondering.

    • use cream shaver

    • I don't see why not

    • +1

Nopppee, I tried and nup. Only for car, windows for natural fogging ( low temp ext ) I think.

    • You need Cat Crap.

      • Cat Crap is the best. Use it on my motorcycle helmet visor all the time.

      • Ok I thought this was a joke until I actually looked it up.

    • RainX make a dedicated anti-fog product

EDIT: Already in the title. Carry on.

    • The Anti-fog bottle states on the back to not use on surfaces treated with anti-reflective, scratch resistant or other coatings. My glasses have treatments on them (anti reflection, transitions and supposedly a hardness coating) so I decided not to try it. I did read a news article about surgeons who wear glasses use soap on their glasses. You rub it on, rinse it and let it air dry and supposedly that keeps them fog free. I made my own fabric masks and then used the nose clip and ear loops parts from cheap surgical masks but it wasn’t until I received the metal nose bars from eBay that I got a good seal on my nose and it’s been fine. Like below, I had also read about using shave cream but my cream has way too much fragrance and made my eyes water just putting them on so I can’t say if it worked lol

  • Once you apply this in bathroom mirror (or windscreen), how long does it last?

Though, not a good review from many at SCA website

    • Haven't tried the anti-fog myself but two friends have and they both reckon it's c-rap. RainX works

  • +1

I rate Rain-X highly. Best product for windows and everyone who has a car should have a bottle.

On the other hand their Anti-Fog stuff is average at best. It would make the fogging less opaque but not clear. Plus it hazes windows slightly with tint on them. Pretty much like the reviews on SCA, not great

  • last one clearance was 9.97
not a bargain, if this clearance is twice as much and actually more than full price.

    • 4 bottles for $9.97?

  • My experience with the water repellent has been terrible on two cars. Causes the wipers to stick to the screen and try as I might, I can't get it off. I've used paint thinners, isopropyl alcohol, polish and anything else I can find but it just won't go away.

Replacing the wipers (Bosch Aerotwins, so not cheap) made no diffrence.

    YMMV but be warned.

  • Great deal compared to supercheap auto. Mind you only 355ml kit
