Laptop Advice (Ideapad Slim 5 - Ryzen 4500u vs i5-1035G1 with MX350)

Hello,

Looking for advice on which laptop is better for general use and casual gaming.

My predicament is that I purchased a ryzen 4500u model (8gb DDR4) but the expected delivery is now in one months time (4th Sep).

I can cancel and get the i5 model which is ready to ship… also 8gb ram, but with 2gb dedicated graphics.

Is the Ryzen worth the wait? Similar price… and no 16gb models available unfortunately.

    Do you need a laptop right now? Have you got an old one to use while you wait?

    If you do, I would just wait for the Ryzen model as the CPU is just better then the Intel.

      Yes I can get by for the moment… I've heard a lot of good things about the new AMD chips, so maybe yes its best to wait.

      The dedicated graphics chip on the intel model was the only thing swaying me (besides the ship date).
