Came across this deal recently. Verification is required i.e. driver's licence photos + selfie (same for any crypto exchange). Apparently Coinjar is headquartered in Melbourne, you decide if it's worth the risk/effort.

The form seems to be openly accessible (https://coinjar.typeform.com/to/fURdAN) but there may be some referral detection when you click out through Student Edge, so not sure if they'll accept any new user.

Also if you use a referral both members get 500 "CoinJar points" roughly equivalent to $5 (can be redeemed for gift cards etc). Not sure how the deals stack. Full T&Cs in link.

Follow these instructions to redeem your AUD$10 worth of crypto and free Swipe (EFTPOS) Card:
Sign up to CoinJar as a new user.
Complete CoinJar’s identity verification process.

    I used Coinjar a long time ago to buy Bitcoin when it was roughly $600.
    Their spread wasn't amazing but I had no issues converting back and forth between AUD and BTC and withdrawing both.

    … I just wish I bought more.

    From the T&C:
    "This offer is only available to new CoinJar users who are referred by Student Edge during the Promotion Period."
    So I guess you need to click through the Student Edge link and cannot used another referral.

      5 CoinJar rewards points for every Swipe card transaction. Doesn't look like you can convert rewards points into more currency, but there are some gift voucher options in their rewards store.

      Beyond that, I'm not sure of other benefits.

    In the T&C it mentions differently to their offer.

    General: 3. The Promotion commences at 9am on 8 May 2020 and closes at 11:59pm on 31September 2020 (Promotion Period).

    Prizes and Distribution: 1. CoinJar users that qualify for this promotion, will receive equivalent AUD$5 in Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Zcash, 0x Token, USD Coin or Basic Attention token. 2. You are also eligible for an additional AUD$5 worth of coin if you leave a valid review for the CoinJar app on Apple App Store or Google Play. The coin will be the same as the one for the Promotion and you shall leave your Apple App Store or Google Play username in the entry form to avoid unnecessary delay. 3. AUD$5 equivalent will be calculated at an exchange rate chosen by CoinJar on the day of the distribution.

          Yep. In the form you would've chosen the coin that you want (I chose USDC). Try contacting support, they reply quickly and even helped me out when I realised I already had a duplicate account (oops).
