Cheapest I've seen it. Appears to be the Chinese version but supports English. Unlike the latest Mi Band 5, this one has SpO2 monitoring. I've also read that it's more accurate than the Mi Band 4.

if it is amoled like miband then it won't ever get that much battery life
I guess honor band 6 will release before it’s going to arrive
LOL so true
Nah you will want to wait for the honor band 28. It works on optus!
Does the batter last only 5 days?
That depends on how you are cooking and if you refrigerate it in between
Don't have heart rate monitoring turned on, and only let the screen wake up when you touch it, and it will last for weeks.
Very good watch.
What's the delivery time? The same time there’s a Covid19 vaccine. Somewhere between today and never (inclusive).
It lasts me 7 days. Sometimes 8.
I have the honor 4. I've had it a year and it's been great. I have it's sample rates set to maximum which uses maximum power. I get 4-5 days maybe more on maximum settings - it could last a week like others say. I often only part charge it so I tend to charge it every couple of days when it fits time wise to stop monitoring, that way I only have a data gap of like an hour while it charges. You can be much more efficient with settings. I've been very pleased. It gave me data on sleep, heart rate, distance, steps etc when I hiked the 800km Camino de Santiago in Spain. Not sure if I should upgrade to the 5 to get the oximeter. Anyone know if the oximeter data is useful / accurate?
It can be used to help diagnose sleep apnea which is one of the main reasons I want it.
The problem with these medical things on smart bands etc are their accuracy.
It probably will pick up people that would benefit from further testing. However, the number of false positives may be high enough to actually make it not worthwhile using.
And also it depends on whether the band can measure continuously for the whole night at close enough intervals. You apnoeic events are likely to last only minutes at the most, so if it measures it only a handful of times overnight, you will miss it. Because the sensors are consumer grade, you are getting a guestimated result at best.
As for everyday use for pulse oximeter, well, to be honest, unless you have pre-existing lung disease etc with frequent low O2 sat (<92%), you would be pretty short of breath if your O2 sats are that low and would have already sought medical advice or saw a doctor.
So if you are buying any band for O2 oximeter, it is pretty much of a gimmick value with current technology available.
Even with the heart rate monitors, it is probably good enough for measuring heart rate during exercise and general maintenance or day to day monitoring for people with atrial fibrillation. But if you think it can diagnose arrhythmias, you are too optimistic.https://www.wired.co.uk/article/blood-oxygen-spo2-covid-wear…
It definitely can detect breathing problems, I have OSA and this band.
The thing is, a pulse oximeter for your finger will generally be a better bet, if you want to get a real idea of how bad your sleep aponea is. With this, comes the problem of only needing the device for a few nights and then what… Pretty useless unless you have asthma/copd/other respiratory problems and perhaps need an sp02 device for regular monitoring.
I am not saying it wont, it will probably pick up a lot of false positives (and probably have a few false negatives, even medical grade ones have false negatives).
if you need to regularly measure O2
then I wouldn't trust a $40 device.
Thanks. Bought two.
This is really good i bought one in Jan still going good New faces are awesome
Does it come with or work in conjunction with an app to import the data from the tracker?
Sure does and it does pretty graphs and stuff if your a bit of a data geek like me.
How good is the level of waterproof?
Blurb says swimming is ok, but I'n wondering how it would go surfing.Has anyone actually used this for a while as a surf watch?
It's fine for everything except hot water/showering. No atomised water, everything else okay.
I've had mine in hot showers and my bath usually starts at 48 degrees so I look like a lobster. Never an issue for the honor.
I'd choose this over the Xiaomi if only because it has a proper buckle. The one on the Xiaomi is not great.
Does it have nfc? If not, what's the cheapest good one to buy with nfc?
Thanks.
My honor 4 has nfc but it only works in china apparently. Never bothered try to see if there is a 'fix'. I think the 5 is the same.
Be warned I bought a Xiaomi Band 4 from Aliexpress with a stated 21-40 days delivery. Toward the end of that period they just added another month to the end date (that is the date you can claim a refund due to late delivery). I ended up getting a refund (though it was $6 short due to currency fluctuations). In the mean time the Band 5 had been released, but I did end up getting the Band 4 after 3.5 months.
That's china shipping when covid hit and they shut everything down. Not really a reflection on the watch or ali. I've got stuff from way back I'm waiting on and I've had more recent stuff in as little as 2 weeks. It's a crap-shoot the china shipping at the moment, but I'm sure local stock would cost a lot more if you are in a hurry, otherwise, order and it will get here. My experience is more new ordered stuff general arrives closer to pre-covid timeframes.
Just looked it up on Amazon $75 and its the international version. No Oximeter, but you could have it delivered this week.
If only it's got a 28 days battery life like that Xiaomi watch that was recently posted…
