230

Appears to be targeted, I received a unique code for this.

The offer entitles Eligible Customers to $5 off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) on all items listed on eBay.com.au, except the Excluded Items, when they spend $30 or more using the eBay App. A maximum of 1 transaction applies. Multiple items may be purchased in one transaction (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction). All monetary amounts specified in these terms and conditions are in Australian dollars (AUD)

  • Did it come by email or app?

    • It came through as a message on eBay:

    • I got it as an email, the code also appeared in the code/voucher section of the app at checkout.. .

(uninstalled the app straight after use)

back in the days, these codes had no minimum spend

    I missed those days

  • First time I've been targeted for this. After seeing the pop up in the app, I got an SMS a couple of hours later with the code.

  • I got send the code, I have never and will never use / download their app.

See if it'll work for someone else,

  • Received an SMS purporting to be from eBay offering $100 off with $100 minimum spend, but don't appear to have anything in the app - which seems rather generous.
Doesn't exactly instill me with confidence.
Guess I can try applying the code and see what happens….

    • thats 100$ on 1000$ … go to your messages within app …

      • Nope, definitely $100 off $100 spend (according to the text, which could well be an error).
Nothing in app messages as yet.

in that case, be carefull while clicking the link in sms …can be a spam …

          • @ChipsChicky: Indeed, my thoughts exactly.
So I thought I'd check out copying the code, rather than clicking the link.
(If that works, great - if not I've lost nothing.)

  • Yeah just received a message via text
