Yeah, it's "Proudly Australian Owned". So not Australian.
Also I heard, earlier in the year, that the Australian grown rice supply was due to run out by the end of the year and so it will all have to be imported soon.
I tried this one, sunrice is much better, the quality is really low
Sungrow even sounds like a rip-off of Sunrice!

Urgh, I've been waiting for Sunrice medium grain (Australian grown) to go on special for a very long time since my household goes through about 5 kg in 6 weeks. It's sad that Sunrice has an undersupply and has to get it from Vietnam.
I ended up getting 10 kg Sunrice Australian grown from a local asian supermarket. They had both short grain rice and medium grain rice for $33 so I went for the short grain as I mostly cook Japanese dishes and it's usually more expensive. I combined with Amex shop small (spend $10 get 5) with two cards (they charge 50c for under $15 spend on cc) so paid $23 for 10 kg. I've struggled to find full price 10kg Sunrice medium grain ($24) at Woolies for the past few months.
I did see Sunrice medium grain 10kg pack in my local Woollie just yesterday. I didn't check if it is Australian grown though.
