What Android Phone Should I Buy around $500 AU Stock? Find Me a Bargain for Your Suggestion

Currently I am using S9+ So I want a phone little better than that, but for a budget of around $500 can extend it to $600 if needed.
Below are my must have requirements:

Must be available in Australia with Australian warranty.
I am looking for a phone with good camera and durability.
6gb to 8gb RAM
Google play services
Screen less than or equal to 6.3 inch

Following are my considerations which I am not sure:

Huawei Nova 5T
Realme 6 (I am not sure about this brands durability and reliability)

Please find me a bargain for your recommendations

        LG G8S regularly goes on sale @ JB for 499. They pulled the page yesterday though (deal marked expired last night), not sure if that means it's out of stock.

          yes it was a good deal, but missed it I think. How do you compare it with realme 6 or Nova 5t ; is it better ?

    Oneplus 6T ?

    No Australian Warranty, but pretty reliable and durable. Haven't had any issue with my Oneplus which is nearly 2 years old. If you ever accidentally cracked your screen or want to replace the battery, you can easily find cheap parts from AliExpress and do it yourself. One thing for sure though, is that OxygenOS is 10x better than Huawei and Realme.

      Thanks, it is a good phone, but it sucks they dont sell in Australia and dont have Australian warranty. I dont prefer buying from tobydeals / kogan etc.

    Huawei P30 seems to tick all of the boxes, although price is probably closer to $600 when on sale I think.

        Yep, P30 and P30 Pro were the last ones.

            @harryaus: If JB does the same Telstra deals they did previously (a couple of months back), you can get it for about $390 by signing up to the plan and then cancelling straight away. Check out the threads on here discussing this.

            Otherwise it has been on special around $600 quite recently, so just hang on for a deal to pop up.

    how strict are you on the 6.3 inches? i'd recommend xiaomi mi mix 3 from JB or oppo reno 5g from 5gworld. though they $599

    What about the iPhone SE? For just $200 more than your $500 budget you can have a phone that's faster than any Android on the planet.

      Thanks for the suggestion. I dont want get into the classic debate of Android vs IOS. People loving android will keep using android and same for Apple users.

    Did you end up buying anything op? I'm currently going through the same for my partner.

    I've got a mi9t pro and would gladly buy another, but I can't find any. So instead contemplating the mi mix 3 5g, or the aforementioned oppo, or just giving up and buying the new iPhone se.
