Got it on my Ultimate, but not on my wife's Discovery, and not on the supplementary cards for either of those accounts, but that's to be expected since the T&Cs of the offer say "Additional Cards are not eligible for this offer."

Great deal; normally opening a supplementary card and spending $500 would only net you 5000 points. Checked my Velocity cards, but no such equivalent haha

Basically depends on how you spend the points thought
I normally only spend my QF points with classic rewards flights or seat upgrades
can be as high as $0.05 - $0.07 per point in some cases (got over 7 cents a point value with first class flights last year).
Only worth that value if you'd have paid the full cash fare otherwise (but still, nice redemption!)
@jasonb: true, I guess by that measure they are worth $0.04-0.05 to me as anything less than that I would not sell them. Can't really value them based on what I would pay in cash, only what I would accept to sell them as I also would not pay cash for business class upgrades domestic or international but that is what I generally use them for, that is usually a cash value of around $0.05 a point.
@gromit: Fair. I figure out what I would be happy to pay. So I might not pay the cash price for international business, but I'd be happy to pay what fully flex economy costs (usually about double discount economy) so figure it on that basis.
I get around $0.02 for a QF point with that method. I won't go out of my way to pay to acquire them for anything more than half that though.
I recently dumped my Amex point balance for statement credits with the double value promo, effectively "selling" frequent flyer points in QF or other programs at 2c each, it that gives any idea.

There aren’t any restrictions on what you buy with the $500 (other than the standard exclusions), if you don’t normally spend $500 over 3 months that is seriously impressive.
generally no, reversed or cancelled transactions will not get the points. though seriously why do you have an Amex if you don't even spend $500 over several months? surely groceries etc should have this covered.

This condition is really easy to achieve as its one or more transactions and any merchants that accept AMEX in 3 months time

Does anyone know how the timing on this works?
For example, I know the normal offers (Spend $100, get $10 back) seems to get credited almost instantly (or at least within a couple of days). However, does the same apply to QFF points?
I'm coming up to my annual renewal in a couple of weeks. Spending $500 in that time is somewhat possible, but I don't know if I'll void my points if I then cancel the card?

Unlike cashback, QF points are only transferred after the statement is established in the last bill cycle I believe

Yep, on my ultimate card. I misunderstood the offer as to requiring $500 spend in one transaction but just received the offer redemption email so that confirms that multiple smaller transactions are ok. Very easy to achieve over the offer period.
I think it needs to be $500 in a single transaction. It can't be $500 spread out over many, based on the terms and conditions.
I had spent $500 over many transactions, and didn't get anything, but the moment I paid for car insurance, I received the confirmation.

I just did. Confirmed with them that the requirement is to spend $500 or more in 1 or multiple transactions with 1 or various merchants. Please note they start the calculation from and inclusive of 28th Jul.
AMEX have one of the best customer service. They even acknowledged that I live in VIC and asked me to stay safe.
Got the following confirmation, can confirm I haven't spent $500 or more at 1 single merchant, so pretty sure it's across 1 or multiple merchants.
