  • Why do I need this? Can it help set up a Chromecast in a hotel room which are normally disabled.

    • Apparently you can use with chromecast, also vpn while using public / hotel wifi

More info here or link to other post https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-ar750/

    • yes

    • The mango for half the price will do for Chromecast / hotel use case - even my old WRT54G managed this just fine, however it's huge by comparison.

You do get the extra 5GHz band here, which has its advantages.

Cheaper just a few days ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/468209

    Another week another GL.inet post!

That's called advertisement, not a bargain

    • I would like to think of it more as a fact.

It's the same cost as last week with a code, that link is a year old.. World has changed a lot since then.

Here is the correct link https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/552700

It's the same cost as last week with a code

How the (profanity) is it a bargain then? It's the usual price for this otherwise not too useful thing

Maybe do a bit better research to find bargains rather than posting an advertisement

Wouldn't the reguar price be without a code?

Both deals were with a code and made this product cheaper. Someone may have found this useful if they were in the market for one and wanted a better price, OP shared this information.

Note: that this is only 100mbps, while the AR750S ("Slate") is the gigabit model. Unlikely to matter in most travel situations, and the VPN functionality is CPU limited at quite a bit lower than that anyway.

  • Is a 128gb micro SD really the limit on these?
