(This was in our mailbox today. They've obviously been dropping invitations far and wide this time to get a decent size crowd.)

One of the local real estate agents, Martin Property, holds a couple of these BBQs each year. Always LOTS of superb food, plenty of alcohol and no obligations/hard-sell. No fine print on the invitation (other than how to sign up for email newsletters) and no need to RSVP - just rock up.

This one is from 5.30pm TOMORROW, 21 October 2011. (For the dummies: If you're reading this and the calendar on your computer says 21/10/11 - it's on TODAY! Derp.)

    I wonder if they impose limits? Otherwise people will just turn up and get drunk for free.

    An open invite in a park doesn't mean they will get customers.

      Last time they had the mods pull down the deal before the event to prevent too many people from showing up. Best to memorise the details of the flyer or just save it because it could happen again today

    Went to the party, it was pretty awesome, and certainly worth the effort, bit of a wait for a sausage, but beers easily accessible.
