It's almost a staple of any Steam library

  • The discount code only applies to the original release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (first released late 2011) without any additional content and 3 DLC packs. It does not apply Update: Also applies to the other Skyrim editions. Legendary Edition (2013), Special Edition (2016) and VR (2018).

Aaaaaaaaaand….. Now it does! Feel free to try it out on either of them.
      Will update the description too.

      • Thanks. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Special Edition) @ discounted AU $18.63 is a good deal.

Legendary Edition for under ten bucks with the discount is pretty tempting.
Anyone played both Special and Legendary and seen any noticeable difference in quality?

    • The differences between the 2 are more noticeable if you wish to mod-ify the games. Some mods work on both games, and some only on 1 version. Of the latter, some are available for both games (Oldrim and SSE), and some have only been released for one of the games.

      • I'm planning to run realism mods, should I get the normal edition or the special/legendary edition?

Special Edition was just over $10 last year, I'd have trouble justifying more than that…

I just added the Skyrim Special edition (the only edition anyone should buy at this point) to the cart and they added a further $1.23 operational fee bringing the total to $17.72AUD even WITH the discount. I don't think it's worth it at this price considering how old this game is now.

If you haven't played Skyrim yet then you haven't lived

  • Damn, really wanted to buy this but a 7.5% payment fee? You need to get another payment provider, that is nuts!

    • Hey Thomas,
the operational fee is a combination of a percentage from the product and a fixed amount: a combination which is the same for all of our products.
Unfortunately, this turns out to be a higher percentage of the order if the game is cheaper (since there is a fixed amount involved). And it is pretty hard to find a better payment provider than PayPal…
Sorry for the scary operational fee percentage on this one.

Nevertheless, the discount code is there to negate the operational fee and to make it that the price for the game is the current market leader even after the operational fee.
So the fee should not be really too hurtful as long as the end-price for the product/order is cheaper than everywhere else.
