Credit Card Question and Current Cashback Deals

Hi all,

I've never owned a credit card cause I didn't need it. But with my rego coming up soon I though it be good to get a credit card just to earn points and cashback then close the account.

I have a few questions:

1. You won't get charged any fees if you have the right amount of money on the card right? Like a debit card. You only get charged if after a certain date, you dont have that money there.

2. How easy is it to close an account (credit card)?

3. Any good cashback deals for credit cards right now?

  Have you looked at reward credit cards or even credit cards in general? Their redemption rate? Most give 1 point per dollar spend (higher for more expensive cards), a few thousand points won't really get you anything. On top of that, a credit check too.

    Not the rewards, just the cashback offers. Like spend $2k, get $100 back
