  • Is this the quality version of the ugg makers or the one that stinks badly…?

  • Are these Australian made too?

    • Previous deal comments suggest they are Australian wool but Chinese made? Some suggested they had two different ranges as well one Aussie made and one isn't

Got mine from the previous deal @ uggaustralia.com.au and it says "made in Australia". The quality is good (have been wearing them all day for a couple of months now).

Anyone knows the difference between uggaustralia and uggexpress?

      Taken from their website…

Are the Ugg Boots made in Australia?
Our AU made Ugg Boots are manufactured in an Australian-owned and operated factory.

Given these don't have AU in the title, I'd say they're Made in China. But the vagueness of the statement above also suggests that their AU ones are also Made in China, just owned by Aussies.

I'd buy from the other Ugg supplier even with the number of negs they get on here (nothing bad to say about them from my experience).

Been watching these on eBay for a while (currently at $45) to buy for my mum. Thanks for sharing your comment. I've now decided NOT to buy. Not for any controversial reason, I just mainly think that what little manufacturing is left in Australia should be supported.

"[M]anufactured in an Australian-owned and operated factory" is quite ambiguous and deceptive, IMO. The factory could be anywhere and the ownership could be anyone. Is the physical factory "Australian-owned" and utilised by somebody else, or is it owned by an Australian? See the difference? Where do the profits go? And is it fully or partly owned (which is another important distinction skirted by these, now, redundant terms)? I doubt very much it's Australian operated (whatever that means nowadays), since that could actually mean just one person has some ties, no matter how tenuous, to Australia.

        Ugg Express? More like Ugh.

Sure, thanks to companies cutting corners to save a buck at every turn, we are forced to buy things made overseas, at the expense of local manufacturers. It's become so ingrained, we don't give it a second thought. There are some things that are inescapable, but we can source an item like this locally, without any doubt. In so doing, we can take a little pride and feel a little like an actual patriot. If that's important to anyone.

"Ugg Australia® is the ONLY 100% Australian Made manufactured Ugg Boots with the last Sheepskin Footwear Tannery in Australia"

Also: "As the only sheepskin manufacturer in Australia, our family owned company takes great pride in using ecologically friendly techniques complying with the highest Global EPA standards to bring you high quality plush 100% Australian Merino sheepskins." Family-owned has also become rather obsolete, but at least sixty locals have a job. That's the key thing for me.

tl;dr: Aussie-owned means little. Ambiguous and deceptive; buyer beware. Buy local as much as you can knowing you're supporting Australian jobs and the Australian economy (until nothing is left). Comments about malware are a GIANT FLAG.

These deals come up so frequently from Ugg Express that I'm pretty sure $35 for the slippers and $50 for the short boots is the normal price!

These are not as bad as KMart $6 ones - but not great either. I bought the Short style from them last winter and when they turned up there was one size 9 and one small size that had been fully labelled and packaged as though it was a 9. After 3 weeks and lots of emails I finally got a replacement!

Here we are in the middle of the next winter and I'm still wearing my old worn out Australian made pair - they may be worn out but still better than these knock offs.

Got those from ebay sales $45 with 20% off code. Pretty good quality love them.

  • Love them, esp if you're on your feet all the time. The top is leather-like and water-resistant
In my view, they are Essentials for the winter months.

Thanks - Got a few delivered today on the previous deal.
    Recommend them to all

  • I read this as muffskin. I think that should be a word.

  • Code isn’t working for me, (Enter a valid discount code or gift card), price is $50 still. :|
