First time poster. Went to Jaycar to pick up my $5 belt and wandered through Bunnings. I saw the turf was reduced to $6 a roll (from $12.50) and picked up 3. There was about 2 pallets left when I left. Great for turfing in time for spring.

How's the quality when you unrolled it? It's old stock that hasn't sold.
Few day old sir Walter is fine but lay it quickly.
It seemed pretty good to me, the turf soil was still very much intact and not dry and crumbling. I think the quality wouldnt be as good if it were warmer and laying in the sun. Recommend getting top soil or underlay as well before laying it for drainage.
This sorta like buying discounted milk from Woolies with a short expiry. Not exactly a deal as the turf deteriorates quite quickly. It’s pretty resilient though and should come back unless it’s completely dead - I had some shocker rolls when I bought my turf and they eventyucame good. I may be wrong, but I believe they get their turf in on Fridays so this is already 4-5 days old.
Stores have varying turf delivery days.
No idea why these are so popular…They are so rough, ugly and broad leaf.
