They were on fire that year
Couple of my friends saw them at bdo and a side show and they still haven't washed their eyes

Fire starter… that was what got me to The Prodigy.
First heard The song in a PS (original) game Wipeout. What a great game, so fast.
And to be fast and have real music, i thought that was amazing back then.
(In my mind it was in this game, has my memory been wrong all these years?)

First time I had heard of Redbull as well.

Crazy to think they put playstations & wipe out in night clubs in the UK

      Talk about nintendon't

Yeah that song was in for sure

The remasters were missing songs but they're Spotify playlists
So you can recreate it the experience

    • Yeah its was definitely on the first wipeout soundtrack, I was only a kid but it was my favourite song. Its crazy to think that the Prodigy were every parents worst nightmare back then :D

Incorrect, it was on Wipeout 2097 soundtrack.
I bought it I. 96 and I was playing it again 2 weeks ago.

          Great game, very challenging.

I saw the prodigy several times but the best time was at Knebworth when they supported Oasis. They were far better than Oasis that night.

Keith owned a pub in a small village called Pleshey just outside Chelmsford in Essex and i popped in there a few years ago on a trip to the UK. Had a very nice pint of "Firestarter" ale!

"Charly" was the song that got me into The Prodigy. "No Good (Start The Dance)" is still my favourite. What a live act they were!

Out of Space is another absolute banger from their earlier stuff.

If they still tour in future it won't be the same without Keith :'(

    • I can’t see how they’d tour again to be honest.

    • Yeah I'd say it be like zeppelin after bonzo

Love The Prodigy, saw them a few times back in the day including my first BDO that jumpstarted my love of festivals. Absolutely kicking myself I didn't go to their last show as they ended up being some of the last gigs they ever played…

    RIP Keith Flint

    • I went to their 2nd last gig in Sydney through this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/435656. They didn't play all their classics such as Poison and Their Law but it was fantastic. The tracks from No Tourists was mean't to be played live. From the seats you could make you way down to GA as security didn't check lol.

    • yep I saw them at BDO and luckily last February in Melbourne too. RIP Mr Flint

    PSYCHOSOMATIC ADDICT INSANE

  • "World's On Fire" … apt.

  • Only liked their first album but will definitely give it a look.

Wow, how can you not like The Fat Of The Land?

  • Saw them at Brixton Academy, my favourite London venue, in around 1998. Superb.

    Thanks OP.
Will watch for a trip down memory lane.

I did catch them once at the BDO back in the 90's or early 2000's (fuzzy memories).

Fave track is "Skylined" and "Smack my B**ch Up".

The latter video now cannot be found on Youtube due to its +18 content (drugs, sex, violence, full frontal nudity, you get the drift) and questionable lyrics.
