I accidentally downvoted a comment and could not find a way to undo it. Not a big deal… But just curious if there's a way.

Cool. Seems silly not to be able to… Any idea of the reasoning behind it?
probably because it's so much of an irrelevance….. a negged comment means nothing to the poster, they don't know who did it, doesn't ban them or anything…….
The exception is if the post has a negative vote attached, then if enough neg the post, the neg is removed.
Still means nothing to the poster….
Any idea of the reasoning behind it?
If there's enough request we might add that to the TODO list. It's just matter of getting that developed. Don't think it's a priority item though…
oooh… you get negged by someone for your informative reply
Neg.
Because i can :)
OzBargain would continue on the development of optimising effects of negative votes.
Neg. Because i can
That would be a wrong attitude to neg. I have talked about associating some kind of cost to negative votes, so people won't be able to "neg, because I can" without thinking much about it.
How that's to be implemented — still thinking about it though. Attach a PayPal button next to the negative vote link? :)

Yessss :)
We also need a Superneg vote, maybe limited to one per week, for when you really really dislike something…
@jv: lol JV
Can't believe you of all people are asking for super neg option!
@jv — sorry you really need to pay to get that BFG9000 option :P
@scotty: Watch 15 seconds ad for additional negs. It's both evil and profitable.
Also, I really should've checked date before writing this…
@iridiumstem: lol now I'm here trying to find how to fix a neg on a comment :)
I realised I was too quick to Neg. .. I clicked Upvote hoping to reverse - it did, but gave the Upvote. Now I need to reverse that.
@SlickMick: Click on the 'votes' link underneath the comment, to the right of the positive vote you'll see a small '-' in a red circle, click that to revoke the vote (irreversible). If you have any issues send me the link to the comment and I'll revoke your positive vote on it or press report on the comment and ask for the vote to revoked.
@hamza23: thanks :)
I just accidently neg'd a comment… Thats twice ive done that… Its because the + - are so close together and im using a smart phone… So touching the + but got the - instead
Just noticed the votes link at bottom of each comment which can be used to remove vote on comment…. So looks like its been implemented already!
I would hope so, this is a year old thread after all.
Yes that link may not be obvious as most people would just try to click on the other button (directly to the right of the comment) to fix or the same button again to reset. I note once you've undone the mistake you can't vote correctly on the comment though as it thinks you've already voted.
Still a big problem 10 years later LOL
It should be possible as the script buttons are too close together and instead you now have a bug instead of a feature.
It is possible, has been for some time as mentioned above more than 2 years ago. Click votes under the comment and you can revoke your vote but you must do it within an hour of casting it.
i belive you cannot undo a -ve vote for a comment
however you can undo a -ve or +ve for a deal
