  Well, some people might not like a gimmicky Touch ID sensor, hence they wouldn't like to spend the extra $30 but I think it is worth the extra $30 for those that want to play with it or thinks that someone is going to run away with their ssd.

  speed appears to be a major difference ..seagate is only 40% as fast as the samsung (up to 400mb/s vs up to 1000mb/s)
  
  seagate is also usb 3.0 where samsung is usb 3.2
