Just placed an order yesterday :( this happens every time to me.

    • Reorder and return your order from yesterday when you receive it.

If you contact live chat, they'll probably refund you the difference. The Iconic does. It's cheaper for them and better for the environment.

        • I contacted once, they didnt refund.

        • +2

ASOS does not do this. They would rather you reorder and return.

@Munki: What a dumb corporate policy.

            • +1

@arcticmonkey: Tell them you'll stop being a customer as there are so many other options that offer a much better service.

In these tough times when retailers are struggling to make a penny, let's see if they afford to start losing customers to the competitor.

It's only sad if you bought full priced stuff.
I'm the opposite. Some sale stuff (50% off) I had my eyes on had their prices jacked back to full price.

      • +1

ASOS runs stupid "sale" on random items sometimes and then they'll run these "sales" to make you think you'll get a good deal after they put those items back to full price. Only sometimes do they coincide at the same time where you're able to essentially double dip in discounting.

Still, I've been noticing a lot more 20% off already reduced items lately - perhaps to entice people to buy during this crisis.

don't forget to use different currencies(change the country on top of asos' website) to find a better price (up to 20 percent even, as far as i have observed) with an international transaction fee free card.

unfortunately this stopped working over a year ago, now us Aussies can only buy off the UK site (£) or the AU site ($)

      • Nope. I ordered with Russian currency a few weeks ago.

        • that's strange, you are correct as I've checked and it looks like you can checkout on the Russian store- still can't checkout on the German/France sites

edit : 3 stores we can shop, UK, AU, Russia

          • +1

@toblerone21: Russian and turkish websites usually offer the best prices by the way.

            • @baldur: Assume promo code can’t be used on other country website?

              • @K-Tan: I think it depends on the code. give it a go.

        • i'm getting the "Sorry, we are unable to ship from ASOS Russia to Australia" when i head to check out. Doesn't seem to be working anymore :(

    • I managed to save around $20 last time I used GBP to order. I checked today the price difference is not that much.

Full priced items only so not quite sitewide

I wonder when they'll roll back minimum $100 for free shipping, haven't bought anything from them since they increased it to that

    • +1

Yeah same, they increased it to $60ish last time I checked but now it's $100!?

It costs $22.01 for shipping now. The 0.01 lol. I wonder if this is to force people to buy Premier. (edit: Aus doesn't even have premier!)

Guess could always buy more stuff to equal $100 and return it for free.

      • Yeah Premier was removed sometime in April with them putting it down to COVID. They're still honouring my current Premier subscription, but it takes a lot longer now (~1.5-2 weeks). Even before all this I noticed delivery slowly getting longer and longer. Gone were the days where standard shipping was free no min, and it could get to Aus in just over a week.

Why is shipping so expensive now

    • +3

they usually ship on passenger flights, so……..

  • +1

working on price reduced items too

  • +2

    lol $22.01 shipping, what a joke….

Their customer service sucks BIG TIME.

  • Code doesn't work with Nike Tech fleece trackies?

    • +2

asos is not what it used to be with their endless exclusions. Usually the things people want too.
I just junked a whole cart worth about $400 because the one thing I wanted was excluded.
getting sick of their endless email spam on crappy 'sales' too. I dont think I will shop here again.

      • +1

Yes agree. I dont understand why some companies are just trying to ruin their business model which is liked by the customers.

For those looking at skin care, the code works with The Inkey List but not The Ordinary.

  • I want to buy a real leather jacket. Has anyone got experience with ASOS leather jacket quality? are they good quality leather? The brand they sell is Barney Original if that make any difference

  • Just bought a leather jacket for 160$, the code worked for reduced items as well
