  • Can I pause the first delivery?

    • Apparently you can write a note on your order to specify your first dispatch date and they'll do it for you

  • Where is the bargain? What is the normal price?

  • Any decaf?

    • Nah

    • Really?

    • Hi, how do you know that? One big problem with supermarket beans is they are never fresh, usually weeks or months since roast. I wonder how fresh the beans are from here.

A previous deal had one commenter report they received theirs delivered by the business 2 days after roasting date

        • Sounds more promising than supermarket coffee. Thanks

At this price I’m might give them a go.

Does this taste anything like the Rubrica offer that was on here (burnt ass blend)?

I bought the previous deal from these guys (the same elevate blend) so I'll be able to provide some additional info for anyone interested.
Coffee arrived 6 days post roast date- perfect timing. I drink mine espresso with milk. Actually a really good coffee - I switched it out of the machine to get a start on another set of beans I ordered, and am missing the elevate blend. Kicks the ar*e off supermarket coffee. I feel it's a decent step up from the Aldi single origin beans, but that's a personal preference (but noting it's still twice the price as the Aldi beans even at the special price).

Same situation and I really enjoy the coffee from AeroPress. It is slightly roastier (but definitely not over), which gives it a hint of Italian (stronger) coffee flavour at first and then it totally delivers with promised 'white chocolate, cherry, toffee'. I am a fan!

    • Out of interest, what were the other set of beans?

      • +1

I tend to be a sucker for shifting to a new roaster/bean every time I run out. For my cake day I was given a couple of 250g single origin beans from friends - this one was the Guatemalan beans from Rio. Decent beans, glad I got to try them, but unfortunately they happened to be on the back of a really good blend from the coffee on cue guys

  • Thanks, ordered 1kg and cancelled subscription straight away. Not a fan of the subscription stuff, if I run out and it's good I'll just order more.

It is quite good actually, better still I got it from this deal @ $19.50/kg. My first lot was sent out 10 July, received on the 14th or 15th, from memory. But I am in the same state, so bear that in mind as well.

Yesterday, I gave my feedback on the coffee here, and, moments later got an email about this deal. So this roaster is definitely coming up in profile with Ozbargainers. Rightly so, beans at good price and quality (with the deals).

  • Is this dark roast?

    • +1

No, not very dark. As someone who avoids very dark roasts that has a tendency to kill the natural flavours of the beans, I would not have liked it otherwise. I would say medium-roast.

  • Just an FYI so people don’t get caught out, I got my first at a discount but noticed it was charging $39 for my second so cancelled.
