  • Hi all,
This is my first time posting a DEAL,
Tobys deals are based in Hong Kong, so not sure on how warranty would go if you bought it. Seems like a good price, I'll let the experts decide
    Hope this helps someone

    • Thanks for sharing OP :)

    • thanks
      the deal is sublime

  • Does anyone have any experience with Tobydeals?

Purchased a V10 from them last year.

It came with a Hong Kong/UK plug plus an AU adapter.

Fast postage and have had no Problem.

These are pretty bullet proof, have not heard of anyone with one to have an issue.

  • +1

Not AU stock, warranty will not apply . May also not have AU plug

    • Hi Kenvin, for your reference dyson's warranty applies in all countries that the company operates.
As it's international, you would likely need proof of purchase from an authorised seller however.

  • Checked with JB HIFI if they can do price match wiht this one , unfortunately they can not as Toby do not have a pysical store in Australia.

  • Dyson V10 animal+ from the official Dyson store $999 regular price. I'd rather get that (I'm sure it goes on sale elsewhere) and have the warranty.

    • But this is 30% more run time for $120 less… I'd rather get this.

Personally, I never had any issues with Dyson products that needed warranty. I have a 2x V6's, V7 and recently a Supersonic

Just bought the $69 dollar vacuum at K-mart, and works well. lol. Got no idea why ppl spend almost $1000 on brand name suction power. They're only good at suctioning your money.

Don't know why ppl downvote u. If this guy is happy with a $69 vacuum cleaner, I'm very glad you don't need to waste $1000 on a Dyson product.

Personally owned Dyson v10 for almost 2yrs.

It's because users are conned by a reduction in RRP. I define bargain as paying low for a generally expensive/high cost appliance, whether or not it is discounted. For example paying $69 for a vacuum cleaner (which actually works well) is bargain whether or not it is discounted. Dyson main costs are in advertising, the actual manufactuer's costs would be less than $50. Even though dyson had moved its production company to Malaysia, their prices haven't reduced i believe- so they just keep the profits.

Please. It’s not a myth. Borrow someone’s high end vacuum and go over your carpet immediately after using your Kmart vacuum and the results will blow your mind.

      • -3

Myth? I don't deny it- it probably is very good at cleaning, but at a 2000% percent cost difference- no thanks. I just spend extra 10min cleaning. It's a bit like buying a ferrari over a toyota soley based on the fact that 'it does a better job' i.e. going from A to B.

Isn't the difference how well the system is sealed? I have yet to try a high end vacuum. Cheap vacuums seem to have a smelly exhaust.

I feel you.. until recently with poor weather and lockdown, im hating the look of my carpet and how bad im breathing. So i splurged $370 on one.. most expensive one in my life 😂

Dyson saves time. Time vs Money. Both good options.

I have a Dyson vacuum but a Kmart vacuum sealer. Both good enough.

  • Does anyone do a price match with grey imports? I think officeworks does, but they obviously don’t stock this product :(

Out of interest, how many people here have had to make a warranty claim on their Dyson vacuum?

    • +2

Bargainsniper I have made 3 warranty claims over the years with Dyson.
      1. about 18 years ago my upright Vac hose broke and then sent a new one.
      2. about 5 years my Upright (not the same one) needed a new vac head about 2 months out of warranty and they replaced it.
      3. a few months ago my V8 cordless battery was not keeping charge , it was 2 months out of warranty and they send a new battery.

      • It's the battery you most want the warranty for.

    • -1

Just out of curiosity, why can't one just hassle the seller until they agree to ship for free, then call Dyson HK for warranty to the seller address?

    • I used mine on my V8 about three months in when the battery completely failed. They said their warranty doesn't cover the battery as it's a consumable but as a gesture of goodwill they'd replace it.
This happened a couple of years ago.

  • Is GST included?

The question is; does it suck as good as this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIYMgpuDY3k

  • +1

Does this deal include all the additional heads/tools that is usually sold with the dyson?
